The interface sucks. It's not possible to skip the intro and the rewind function does not always work.

Could have been a decent game, but the interface sucks. Everyhing is damned slow, and it's too easy to select actions accidentally because of a wrong click (if the cursor is at the wrong place on a hotspot, any of the nearby popping up actions could be selected immediately), and there's no way to undo that.

There are a couple of interface issues (right click should also skip text in a dialog, and open inventory when pressed at a non-hotspot position) and yeah, the dialog is boring at places and long-drawn like hell, but in overall this is quite a nice game with a real tale-like story with lovely visuals, so just skip the text and keep going :)
This is the second point-and-click game from Daedalic I enjoy playing. If you like it, you should try The Night of the Rabbit, and if you are into platform-adventure games, Journey of a Roach (just prepare for some headache for the first minutes ;) )

Hazards blending in to the background? Ground not visible? WTF

Crazy pointless jump and run from the worst kind. Better avoid if don't want to be frustrated.

This is just a lame clone of Tiny Bang Story, with zero story, illogical and disjunct puzzles, some of which are even self solving. Started to rotate the pipe pieces, then what, each piece locks in and not possible to rotate further? Also, impossible to enter an invalid code at the computer or something?
Just forget this.

Remember at least 2 complete playthroughs of this game from a younger age, ripped off every videos. Those are not important, you'd say, but not for this game! For example, the protagonist sometimes have companions, like Rebecca, who can be interacted as a usual object in the inventory, and sometimes they do things, like give you something or open a door, if interacted with at a given place. Not having the matching videos means no interaction means door remains locked/not getting the object. As far as I remember, some small videos were in circulation at that time on the net to patch-in, but to get through at some points, I had to hex-edit save games. Done the same when was unable to find all the rat-bodies (was hard to do on a grayscale monitor, but hacking the color palette later helped very much) or ran out of ammo... Oh sweet memories. Doin' no more hackin' now.
As for the graphics and the FMV quality... Well, this is a very dated game, and this is what the systems were capable of that time. Remember, the game was available on 4 CDs, which is a surprise, considering the amount of FMVs and the total playtime!
The story and implementation is unique, the atmosphere is fantastic. The play of the actors is more or less passable (the protagonist is a total letdown, other characters are much better).
JUST DON'T WATCH THE FINAL CUTSCENE! I was depressed for a week after seeing that for the first time, ruining everything.
Bottom line: buy this, even worth its full frice, and remap the direction keys to WASD.

A unique detective story with many side plots, choices and options, served with stunning visuals and audio you don't want to mute even after an hour.

As far as I remember, this is the first point&click game from Daedalic I truly enjoy playing. Nice graphics and audio as usual, but this time you don't get the feeling of reading a tale, but being part of a real adventure. Humour, clever puzzles and game elements. Reminds me of Simon the Sorcerer.

It's rather a visual novel than a point and click game. Everything is linear, you just have to click in the correct order. Beautiful but shallow, like the other Daedalic point&click games.
