Great story, gameplay, artstyle, mechanics, controls... I really can't think of what else you'd want from a rogue-like. If you're a fan of games like Binding of Issac or Enter the Gungeon, get this! GOTY for sure

While the game is good, I have one complaint: I bought the game in Starter Edition, and you're unable to upgrade to standard. This is a problem, given that start edition indefinitely places operators under a hightened unlock price with in-game currency, something that can't be solved by purchasing R6 tokens, most users would suggest. Regardless; great game, and it's well worth the price when on sale.

This game holds up to time. THe brilliantly made classes, character models, and mechanics can compete with any modern age shooter, beating most in my book. I've spent over 300 hours goofing off, playing the objective, trying out the various playstyles, and generally just having a good time. And best part is- If you don't like it, it's free! I mean, I still spent tons of cash on hats, but the base game and all the weapons are free. You'd just be paying for stupid (but inexplicably attractive) cosmetics, and weapon reskins.

So bottom line- This game is an oldie, a goodie, and a freebie. I see no downside to playing TF2 whatsoever. Sure, the updates have gotten a bit strange, and competitive play could be better, but you're still getting an extremely good game.

Play TF2, you won't be sorry.
