10/10 : Impossible to achieve. The ideal game.

9/10 : One of the best games of all times. You need this.

8/10 : A great game, because of some special aspect I love. A must have.

7/10 : A very good game. Generally a must have.

6/10 : A good game. Enjoyable, fun.

5/10 : Basically a good game but with a caveat: either a niche game or an oldie or something that might be considered off-putting.
Or a bad game, that has some redeeming qualities.

Everything worse than that will basically be trashed or not be written about.

Mount & Blade: Warband

This has become one of my favourite games.
If you think you'd enjoy a mix of RPG elements, battlefield commander and kingdom simulator, this might be worth a try.

And even if you don't like vanilla M&B, there are some great mods out there that change up the pace and challenge.
To be honest, it was a mod - A Clash of Kings- that made me finally play M&B (it had been slumbering in my library, unplayed for a couple of years. But then I watched a Let's play of M&B ACOK and said to myself: Hey, this looks fun ...
... and now I'm hooked.

If you also enjoy ASOIAF or GOT, the mods ACOK (A clash of KIngs) or AWOIAF (A world of Ice and Fire) might be for you.
If you like a little more fantasy, PoP (Prophecy of Pendor) or Perisno might be worth a look.

Definitely a very enjoyable game, even if the graphics seem a bit outdated.

7 / 10 (8/10 with the mods)
