5.3 hrs on record
Arbitrary difficulty by adding areas that will just have you fight enemies far beyond what you're supposed to be fighting. There also won't be anything that will tell you or that can hint at areas having difficult foes in them. you visit the lake 50 meters behind the starting area? Have a dragon swoop down with no prior indication that the lake houses a dragon. You're told you can relax at the round table and lower your guard? You can indeed relax, just don't jump past that railing because a fight will start that you're immensely underleveled for. Not that the game is gonna tell you that, you can just figure that out after you've died. Follow the path of grace, or in other words, where the game tells you to go? Good fun until you get to Margit. Come back when you've leveled a bit. Just don't try to die 100 times trying to figure out where to go that won't just kill you in unfair ways.

When i've played 5 hours and 4 of those 5 hours has been visiting area after area just to eventually give up because of fights happening with foes far past what you're supposed to be fighting, then that's where i throw in the towel. I'm not good at the game, probably never will be. It comes with the territory of never having played a soulslike game before. But it's not difficult to understand that It's not good gamedesign. It's not clever, it's not challenging in a fun way, it's arbitrary difficulty disguised under a "get good scrub" mentality.

The only redeeming aspect of this game is how good it looks and how good the music/sound effects are. And with how many hours you're gonna be playing extra due to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, that's more of a bare minimum than anything else since it'd feel insulting if it didn't even have that going for it.
