Shelter is a short, atmospheric game with a distinct art style and charming soundtrack. I really liked the high-pressure situations where timing was important, and there were 'real' consequences if they were timed wrong. Although you can get turned around from time to time, the levels, controls, and rules are pretty intuitive.

The only issues I had with the game was the camera control, and clicking to pick up/hunt food. Sometimes the click didn't register, although my mouse was in good working order. The ending was a little disappointing for me, but it's also a realistic outcome for the badgers.

Overall, a short, casual game with a unique art style and well-written soundtrack. Great to get it on sale, it has a moderate replay value. The story pretty much stays the same, the ending is the same. It's a casual game, and the world is a pleasure to explore. Most of the replay value would be in wanting to explore more in-depth, or finishing the game with all five cubs if you didn't the first time.

It's just a lot of fun, and you can't beat the price. It's difficult and complex, you need to have excellent rhythmic precision, but it's so rewarding when you finally 'get it' and complete the level. I like how the music is visualized through the different shapes, similar to how sheet music is written, but in a new and refreshing way. The stylistic differences between the levels, both visually and musically, keep you interested in what's coming next. As a professional musician, it's a satisfying and complex game for me to play.

This game hooks you in immediately with the intro, it gets you emotionally invested in the character from the start. It's interesting to see the character develop as you gain more powers as you explore more and more of the world around you. It makes you think outside the box and use abilities to manipulate objects/enemies to your advantage to get to the next area. Something that could be better would be to make the bosses more challenging. I had to be careful, but I was never worried about dying/never had to replay a boss fight more than once. Overall, I'd highly recommend.

Amazing artstyle, fun gameplay. Rich in mythology, verses from homer scattered throughout the game as well. Fantastic.

It's a casual, relaxed game. It's pretty short, but it's enjoyable and the art style is aesthetically pleasing. The colors and music are soft, and it's really soothing. There's beauty in the simplicity, and it's a nice way to take your mind off of a stressful day. Because it's generally so short, I'd recommend buying it on sale rather than buying it full price. It's a cute game, though.

Colorful, quick, fun.
There's enough checkpoints that it felt fair, and the game didn't feel punishing.
I really enjoyed the music, and how the game progressed.
I can definitely see myself replaying this.
The art style is really cool, and I loved the rhythm aspect of it as well.

It has its fair share of bugs, and I bought it on sale. Even full-price it's not an expensive game, and I would have paid full-price for it. It's a game I'd replay.

Overall, recommend if on sale.
It's more of a point and click visual novel/puzzle than a traditional 'game'.
Although I enjoyed playing through it once, I don't feel like it's a game I'd get a lot out of playing through again.

Pros:
The storyline is rich, it really hooked me after the first half hour or so.
The art is fantastic, complements the atmosphere.
Representation of interractial and lgbt relationships
Good voice acting, the emotion comes across really clear
The music and background sounds really complement the scenes and contributes to the '50 vibe.

Cons:
I could see playing this through maybe twice?
At times there's little direction on how to progress/objects needed. Needed a guide at times.
Some bugs (dialogue continued after text closed, didn't receive any achievements throughout the game, occasional crashes)- make sure to save frequently
Limited choices; choices you do have don't affect the ultimate ending of the game until the last choice, which is basically a yes or no.

Due to overall lack of replayability and occasional lack of direction, I wouldn't pay full price, but good story and good game.

It's a fantastic game, and gorgeous to look at. The attention to detail in each city, particularly the Duomo in Florence is amazing. It's easy to lose track of time while playing, it draws you in, and although the missions are similar (particularly assassinations and racing against other characters), if it makes it easier to come back to, and something you can play casually after completing the main story, and finding all of the clips from The Truth.
