Age of Mythology but Nordic. Having played campaign mode and some custom matches, I can say it's easy to learn and very fun. Seamless game-play on the Steam Deck.

Totally deserved GOTYs! Mobius Digital started with the idea of a college graduate and now they have delivered one of the best games of the year (2019) and one of the most creative games of this generation without the monumental budgets and personnel of Death Strading or Sekiro (both 2019 GOTY winners).

Art-wise is so charming and it makes you feel so nostalgic. Gameplay-wise it promotes exploration through exciting and mysterious visual queues that make you want to check every place at once. Very creative way of making the player explore without hiding progress behind doors or items, but through understading of the solar system and the knowledge acquired. If you start the game with enough knowledge you could finish it in the first 20 minutes.

Amazing implementation of the time-loop mechanic. Making the events occur and planets change, regardless of you being there, connects so deeply with the narrative of the game.

It's a short, but beautiful and immersive game. The story takes you for a ride.

As a long time fan of Assassin's Creed I can say they are back, The franchise I always loved is back. They did an EXCELENT job once more. It's funny why I am enjoying the game too much. The things main thing I always comlained previous installments did not have (Black Flag to Syndicate), Origins lack it as well: lack of present time history (so far in AC:O). I always depicted games without Desmond as just a try to show an ancient civilization and fights (assasinations). Do not get me wrong, they did make a great job in that most of the times, but I felt like they were ONLY giving me that, and that is not why I falled in love with the franchise in the first place. What are they doing with Origins? Showing an ancient civilization and giving action, BUT OH GOD THEY ARE DOING IT RIGHT!! I can only say I am enjoying this game so much. (And the Bayek history is amazing so far, they are doing everything right). Ubisoft, you made me fall in love with Assasins Creed again. Take gaps more often, please.
