What's there not to like about this game? Unique style, fun gameplay, interesting characters, beautiful soundtrack and a tiny yet open land for you to explore. How you choose to play is up to you, and now with co-op you can even enjoy the experience along with friends. A really relaxing game where you create your own life and style, becoming a part of the valley and seeing your hard work coming to fruition.

A perfect game to enjoy after a long, stressful day. Or if you need that chill bad uwu

In my review of Amnesia: The Dark Descent, I stated how no other horror game in the market could top it of. Funny enough how Frictional Games would come to surpass even themselves.

Where Amnesia focuses on the more "primal" fear of horror, SOMA instead chooses to lay their foundation in the psychological and existential one; posing retorical questions that will make you question yourself and your beliefs. Playing through the eyes of Simon Jarret, it is up to you to guide him safely through the new hostile enviroment that is PATHOS-ll.

Where SOMA might lack the strength in its monster encounter, in comparison to Amnesia, the story is the focus of what drives the horror through. Unlike Amnesia, the horrors of SOMA doesn't stem from the monsters or even the bodies to be found, but through its questions and subtle implications, leading the player to revalue the very meaning of oneself.
Whereas games such as Undertale made me rethink the possibilities of video games, SOMA made me rethink the very definition of humanity. As a quote from fellow horror title Silent Hill states:

"The only me is me. Are you sure the only you is you?"

Just finished this yesterday and it's one of those few games you really wanna continue despite not knowing what dangers awaits you. Really immersive and interesting all the while the atmosphere reminds you that you're never truly safe. Still to this day one of the best horror games ever created. Big props to the sound department, they knocked this game out of the park!
