A revival of a franchise from my childhood. one of the greatest games I have ever played.

I felt pretty compelled to right this review because of how amazing this game really is.

I grew up on games like this on sites such as armor games, lpaying strike force heroes and raze and what not, and they were always such great games that sadly were never a mainstream style of design; This game seems to aim to change that.

At first the way you level your guns, as well as character and the "technical" level is a bit weird, but once you get use to it its very clear its an intuitive and well thought out design. my only complaint here is that the golden skulls required here are a bit hard to come by later in game.

the gun play is phenominal, all the guns are balanced and all of them have counters, while it may be annoying facing a player with an SVD, shotgun, or vector they are by no means invincible. most guns are unlockable throgh levels or challenges as well as a few unlockable through crate drops; while i havent yet built a full crate weapon i have unlocked all normal weapons, and it was by no means a hard grind to do so, more so an enjoyable challenge. The pistols however in my opinion need a bit of work, the silenced handgun seems to preform the best of all of them, even better than the .357 magnum or the .45 handguns; which have a rate of fire so low that killing with them is rare. Personally id suggest upping the rate of fire so it is similar to that of the .357 but its recoil and spread would be slightly less.

A topic all its own is the explosives, while they add a new dynamic to the gameplay they need work, not only do you throw like a ♥♥♥♥♥, which can be quite annoying at time, but the kill radius seems a bit off. while you can be relatively close to a gernade or claymore and survive, there is also a great chance that youll be all the way down a hall way and a peice of shrapnel will catch you in the head.

next up up the list is the spotting system, while pretty good there is the occasional questionable kill/death. the way it works is if someone has a direct line of sight on you, youll be visible to them, or if its TDM you will be visible to the whole team, and if you fire you become visible to everyone, regardless of game mode, eventually you become unspotted again, you can also hear footsteps, which can become silent with either a perk or by moving while crouched. this is perfect for this game, and works great, however sometimes an enemy will remain invisible despite being right in front of you, more oten than not it will be someone who is crouching with a silenced weapon, or someone who is further out, despite being in your line of sight.


all in all this game is wonderfull and addicting, with constant updates and a decent community, I would suggest this to anyone who needs a good timekiller.

Such a wonderful and underrated DLC, my only complaint is that i wish more people played this rather than native, this DLC is a direct upgrade in every way
