Fun game. Simple concept but great execution. Fair warning, this game is very difficult.
Easily worth the dollar or so it costs on sale.

Hyper Demon takes everything fun about FPS games and refines it into 2 minutes of insanity. The game embodies depth in simplicity, mile high skill ceilings, and addictive gameplay.
It took me 40 hours and over 2000 deaths to get to 350 score, and in that time I literally could not put the game down. Every failed run had me saying "just one more" until suddenly it was 2am.

If you're turned off by the visuals, don't be. You get used to it in about 5 minutes, and it's a lot more comprehensible than it looks. The 180 degree FOV (not too stretched thanks to spherical projection) and "rear view" overlay gives you 360 degree vision. That combined with excellent sound design means that you'll me more aware of the threats around you than in any other game.

Hyper Demon also features a surprisingly robust replay system, which allows you to share, save, and watch replays and clips in game, online, or on discord. You can control replay speed, display inputs, or even go frame by frame to analyze your own replays or replays you find on the leaderboard.

This is one of the best games ever made.
Buy it.

Faster and more fluid than 2016, this game is a blast to play. Plenty of movement options, weapon swapping, resource juggling, and level knowledge to learn and master. The campaign is great the first time and great on replays. The DLC is solid as well, though the hammer in Ancient Gods 2 is a little broken. Ultra nightmare is a serious challenge. Battlemode is... alright. Playing as a demon is gimmicky but fun for a few rounds. Horde mode is great.
