Todd Howard - A Thesis
-Early Life-
Our story begins with the birth of a child to rival that of immaculate conception. Born in 1969, Todd Howard was raised in a small town in Pennsylvania. Living with his brother Jeff, he was raised in a shack in the middle of ♥♥♥♥ off nowhere. Miraculously, the two brothers were somehow able to obtain video game consoles, which sparked creativity in both of them, driving their future endeavors. While he was young, Todd began to create his own video games. This game, while unknown, was given to neighbors of Todd to review. As it turns out, the expectations of young Todd may have been slightly too high. When he received an unsatisfactory review from one particular reviewer, Todd approached the reviewer's vehicle with the reviewer still inside shouting "Kneel before Todd", as he lifted the car with his bare hands and flipped it upside down. This reaction towards the negative review may have been the spark which allowed Todd to release half-assed nearly unplayable games today without giving two ♥♥♥♥♥ of a single ♥♥♥♥. In 1989 Todd graduated high school, evidently nothing interesting enough to be written on his Wikipedia page happened during this time.

-College Experience-
After graduating from high school, our protagonist applied and was accepted to College of William and Mary (established in 1693; mind boggling). Todd decided to major in finance and business instead of game design because and i quote "it seemed like the easiest path to get through college". Similarly to his high school years, nothing of interest occurred during his first three years of college. However, during holiday break his senior year at William and Mary, Todd purchased the video game "Wayne Gretzky Hockey". This likely generic hockey game developed and published by Bethesda is what pushed Todd to visit the offices of Bethesda and ask for a job. By the way Todd passed the offices of Bethesda everyday on his walk to campus, so how a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hockey game on the NES was his inspiration to ask for a job is beyond me. Especially after largely playing fantasy games as a child. Edit: apparently the Wayne Gretzky hockey game was considered the 111th best computer game ever released in 1996 and was one of the games that made Bethesda known in the gaming industry. Maybe its not as ♥♥♥♥♥♥ as I thought. Upon inquiring about a job at Bethesda, Todd was readily declined. Bethesda's explanation was that a prerequisite of finishing university was required to be considered for hiring. It is a miracle none of the employees at Bethesda were harmed considering the incident with the car as a child. Once Todd had graduated and met the prerequisite for working at Bethesda, he attempted to land a job once again. Todd was rejected a second time, Bethesda stated the reasoning for this was "there was a lack of job opportunities at the time" smells like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to me . While keeping his temper down, Todd left the building without any reason to be charged with arson and spared the lives of Bethesda's employees yet again. Since he couldn't land a job at Bethesda, he ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off to a smaller company in Yorktown, Virginia (which i cant find the name of for the life of me). After joining this company Todd was able to go to video game conventions like to Consumer Electronics Show which showcased upcoming games and technologies. Since this was a convention that showcased new video games, guess what company was there? That's right, Bethesda! Todd continued to pester Bethesda for a job at each convention and was likely turned down each and every time.

-Career-
After 6 years of begging and pleading, our protagonist Todd Howard was finally hired at Bethesda in 1994. Todd's first work was as a producer and designer for "The Terminator: Future Shock" which was released on DOS and is credited for being one of the first computer games to have the ability to use the mouse to look around (because ♥♥♥♥ Wolfenstein and both doom games apparently, thanks Wikipedia). Following Terminator, Todd Worked on a similar game titled "SkyNET" and the familiar "The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall", his first experience working on the series that would garner so much of his attention to come. Both of these games released in 1996. However, in 1998, Todd Howard became project leader for the first time on a spinoff Elder Scrolls game titled "The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard". In 2000 Todd was appointed project leader on his first main line Elder Scrolls game "The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind". Upon the release of the game in 2002, it was met with outstanding reviews and success. This likely catapulted Todd's reliability within Bethesda, because in 2002 he was entrusted to lead the production of the next mainline Elder Scolls game "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" which upon release in 2006 was also met with praise and impress. Shortly after, he began work on Fallout 3 as director and executive producer. The next and most popular game Godd Howard worked on was none other than the incredible "Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim". Feeling high off of the seemingly infinite success of his creations, Todd then directed Fallout 4 which received mixed reviews. After not receiving unanimous praise for one of his creations, the trauma from the review he received in his childhood must have been refueled. Our protagonist, Todd, started to show antagonistic tendencies. Because at E3 2018 Todd got up on stage to reveal a seemingly unimaginable game. A game set to propel the innovation within the gaming industry even further down its path. Todd Howard introduced Fallout 76, and lied through his teeth about every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aspect of the game, even pre-order bonuses. Currently, Todd Howard resembles a fallen angel. He is in freefall from his heavenly throne as one of the most influential game designers in the industry, to a former husk of himself. In an E3 2019 conversation with Elon Musk, Todd Howard gloated about purchasing the most expensive Tesla model with every available feature. So, in the in the words of the great Todd "the god with a giant rod" Howard, "Who's laughing now?".
