The issues I see in Verdun and Tannenberg are ones I have already experienced with Call of Duty, Battlefield, Rainbow Six Siege, time and time again, but even sloppier too, making me reluctant to even try it until it was free the other day.

It felt like an empty game, unfortunately and sadly.

Yes, I agree. It is an interesting topic nonetheless and it would have been nice to see developers openly discuss and not just completely silence your post. To my knowledge the Outcast 1.1 devs were really nice so it has left me baffled, confused and also reluctant to talk on that forum.

I had no idea that my post on the Outcast 1.1 forums was locked, I thought that it was just ignored by people. Thanks for notifying me. It's a shame the devs didn't even contact me, I was aware that they could have a problem with Outcast 2 material being available to the public (I assume it came mostly from leaks) which is exactly why I asked whether that was the case. If they had just told me that content was not meant to be released to us and they don't want it discussed on the forums, I would have deleted the post myself.

You're welcome. I actually just finished my first full play through the other day with about 5 deaths whole way through, (more if you include your companions dying and reloading the game lol.) I hope my advice helped. All you really need to do is your stats well enough. A good route to go is use your skill points on leveling guns and your starter main points on your ability to do better dialogue etc. If you're struggling to hut the rats at the very start cave I'd say you're at a bad start though. If you like I'll tell you good start stats in about 24 hours when I'm at my PC, I'm on my phone currently.

No issues with running the game for me on Windows 10. Single player is fine. Just played a few quick skirmishes.

I have not tried multiplayer so no idea how that will run or if it still works.

Hey there, I see that you own Cossacks: Back to War. Don't suppose you've encountered any issues playing it? Have you played a multiplayer game?

Me and my dad used to play this back in the day, but our disk versions really don't play nice with Win7, so if this works then we'll almost certainly grab it up :)

I started playing the game very long ago when I was a young child and it hooked me. Way more indepth than Age of Empires, which I idolise, so it took my attention.
