The game looks beautiful graphically. Each race is very unique and has some great units and they are pretty much balanced maybe some are a bit more powerful but other than that its fine. The soundtracks are amazing and maps look gorgeous and well detailed but because of the poor performance of the game it will not be as smooth as WH2.

There is a huge problem with a performance specially during campaign game play. Even with high end computers you will still struggle to get a good fps. I have a high tier gaming pc and played a few custom games and had ultra size unit on high setting (not ultra) and the average fps i was getting was around 40-60 fps which is quite a disaster for a game this expensive.

So the main complain is about performance of the game and some minor bugs which can be annoying for some people. Some times units during the game wont attacking each other and just standing looking around. I did not see fighting animations between units like what we had in WH and WH2 when like big monsters fighting each other, I hope they didnt remove it from the game otherwise it will be so sad. The UI in this game has changed compare to last series and it got worse and more confusing from my perspective.


Menu of the game is confusing and not easy to deal with. The minor settlement battles have been improved but there are still a few problems with siege battles like when you put the range units behind the wall they wont fire or they cant?? which makes no sense You have to make a small gap between the wall and units but then they will lose their protection advantage and will get targeted more easily. I can't really comment on the chaos of realm campaign just yet but i really feel its not that hard even on legendary i feel like it's rushed and unfinished maybe the goal is to be quick and finish it quickly but not sure why exactly.



In conclusion: This game is not bad in fact its fun but you gotta have high end build PC to enjoy it fully on higher graphic. I hope they will fix it soon and not leave it like what it is or it will be another Attila total war...

Just got this dlc for free from "make war not love 5" event so win win haha

I'm a true fan of total war games specially Rome 2 but this dlc is One of the worst Dlc's in total war franchise! So boring and repetitive after few turns. The campaign AI is still terrible and stupid and while you recruiting the best heavy melee infantry in game they will recruit spear levy (Levy spam is real) and light infantry which is really dumb!! My first campaign as Aurelian was totally disappointing. After 4 or 5 turns of creating my army and recruiting stuffs,I started to march through the lands and i could easily steamrolling the whole regions and no enemy armies could stop me just because enemy AI is so passive and you can finish the game so quickly because it is not challenging at all even on highest difficulty level which is a shame.

Here is some of the pros and cons for this dlc review:

+New factions
+New units
+New events, mechanics and features (Cults, plagues and banditry)
+Some cool features from Attila


-Recycled gameplay and plenty of bugs (such as graphical bugs)
-The research tree is very basic and has no real branches
-The models don't even look remotely historically accurate
-Not very good looking unit cards
-Campaign AI is so terrible and easy to beat even on highest difficulty
-Combat animation is totally ruined with this new dlc update
-Enemy AI is infantile, and they can't build infrrastructure
-Germanic units praise "Roma Invicta"
-Badly glitched graphic
-Campaigns feel short as factions can be killed off easily
-Textures and unit bugs (models body part missing)
-No family tree
-Diplomacy among the factions is pointless
-No historical battles


So basically a glorified MOD with mostly recycled stuff and a few features from Attila, Heck even modders can do better job and its for free. I strongly advise you not to buy this dlc at least wait for Sales like 75% you don't really missing anything cuz It's incredibly boring and AHHH let's not forget that CA completely destroyed Combat animations with this new Dlc update! I don't know why but instead of fixing their game they like to release an unfinished Dlc with full of issues and bugs for such an expensive price ffs CA!!

Ok lets start with this DLC, the last dlc of rome 2 total wars, the game that many of its fans got angry at first when they played the game. The dlc is not bad at all. By getting this dlc you get big maps, greeks regions,new greeks factions,new events, new units and other stuffs that im gonna explain a bit more about them. you can start the campaign with 4 greek factions.

One of the bad things about this dlc is that you cant play as persian however they have a great role in gameplay of campaign, but thanks to modder because of making a Persian and other factions playable in game. There are a also so many mods that can improve your Campaign gameplay such as new units reskins, new factions, less agents and....

Some people are crying and whining about lack of unit variation, but remember, this is accurate historically, the greeks were constantly fighting eachother and they didn't all have completely different armies.

Campaign gameplay is pretty good, however sometimes become imbalance. playing on very hard or legendary difficulty make the game impossible to finish which i really liked it cuz i usually play on hardest difficulty. The big challenge is specializing our armies into either better hoplites, cavalry or ranged than your opponents. The campaign itself also has some cool mechanics like the festivals and the suddenly-persia-war-declaration.

some other things are just enjoyable in this campaign. for example there are a lots of Ancient greek games that happen every few years such as Olympics games, Pythian games, nemean games and others which are really pleasant. also the campaign has some new events that really good during gameplay.

Now its time for pros and cons from my opinions:

PROS:
.Ancient Greek setting
.Some new units
.New Tech Trees
.New factions
.New seasonal events, The new Seasonal effect they put into this campaign are great. Winter makes a huge difference on your economy and army mobility
.Panhellenic Games and Festivals ( which i loved it )
.New maps
.Persian invasion
.Peloponnesian War
.Greco-Persian Wars
.some new really amazing wonders
.ships have finally a really good function and are not totally useless

now we come to CONS:
.NO historical battles which is really bad and just show how lazy CA is
.Not too many new units for some people who might not like it
.Lack of custom battles support but still you can get some few factions by mods
.Lack of Persians armour design. Dariush the great and xerxes looks like a nomadic farmers :/

and thats it for cons! the dlc is pretty good tbh. I dont know why some people didnt like it and just hate it. This is a good DLC people! It is a good DLC if you like Ancient Greeks, hoplites, SPARTA, Peloponnesian War. Good campaign in almost every aspect. So forget what haters say about this awesome dlc, you should really have to try it by yourself and dont listen to those ungrateful fans.

you can wait for sale or buy game anytimes, Its your money and you have choice but i will highly recommend this dlc, you won't regret :)

well well another total war game is out and everyone wants to know how is it?
well i tell you its awesome and its much much better than rome 2. you might ask why? ok im telling you:
first of all the family tree is back to this game which is so enjoyable now. better than last games i mean its better than ever.
Game is generally harder and more challenging than rome 2 and shogun 2 also AI on campaign and battlefield is pretty intelligent. Battles do not feel like a chore as I had to use more tactics in just my first few than in half a campaign for rome.
graphic is imporved and towers are so stronger right now!!
The battles are the most cinematic I've seen from a TW game yet.
many things have been change that you should try the game to understand and feel it i cant explain more :)



THIS GAME IS NOT a dlc or expansion pack, this is a standalone TW game that happens to be in Europe and thanks to creative assembly to make it for us and i have to say its A HUGE step up from Rome2.

WARNING: this review was for the time when this doctrine was really good and had vet rifleman with flamethrower but after balance patch, the both abilities got removed and replaced with some other abilities so beware..



Ok lets get in to it!! this commander is OP, and its best commander for U.S cuz its pretty cool. when you select this commander you can access to elite rifle man who they are well trained with 1 veterancy and have flamethrowers with them when they are deployed, and its very cheap units with less man power! the another thing which i really like it is Flamethrowers that every squads can have it easily and burn their enemies or opponents or whatever. there are another abilities like smoke barrage to hide ur troops when u are less or Outnumbered by enemy forces and riflemen flares allow all rifleman squads to use their flares to reveal the target area. but the important unit is M4A3E8 Sherman easy eight which is strong tank in U.S army and its better than all of his brother i mean other shermans. (thanks to relic for adding new tank).
with all of the things that i mentioned i dont think there would be any doubt to prevent you form buying this dlc or commander, this commander is the the best U.S commander in my opinion because of its abilities i bought this dlc when it was 50% so for sure its worth for me to try and i enjoyed my purchase.

This commander is one of my favourite commander in this game which always choose it when im playing as germans because of its good abilities which im gonna explain to you guys.

first of all when u select this commander u have strong airstrike which is strong enough to destroy the enemy infantry or atleast make them run away with 1 troop ( but most of the time kill them it all depends on where its gonna be dropped ).

second you have strong and powerfull heavy tank which is the best tank in this game and that is tiger tank and could destroy many things and make enemy run away from their positions. when u get this tank its so easy to push enemy back and change the battlefield situation to your favour.

third you will able to spawn mortar halftrack which is very useful in battle field its so much better than infantry mortar team who they are so vulnerable to enemies units and can be killed very easily but the halftrack can move so easily and change his position so fast and they are able to pull back so quicker than mortar infantry.

and the fourth one is all of your tanks are able to discharges the smoke to pull back or change tactics or whatever...( i saved a many of my tanks when i used their smoke and saved my fuels) :)))))

anyway this commander is one of the good commander in coh 2 and i bought it when it was 99 cent :) and definitely worth to try i really like it
