i don't want to return the game, title is misleading

Absolutely phenomenal experience. If you're here cuz you loved JSR, then you probably don't need me to tell you this but it's literally a spiritual successor to JSR. And yes, it holds up incredibly well. :) Just as good as the old days.

Pros:
+ Awesome soundtrack that includes Hideki Naganuma and other fresh artists
+ On-the-go menu system you can use while moving, including a playlist feature for the music
+ Parkour gameplay is smooth and responsive, just exploring the world is a treat in itself
+ Tons of unlockable characters, and 3 movement types
+ Graffiti system is cool as hell
+ Story is cool, keeps the suspense and action up, some genuinely amazing twists and revelations
+ Game just looks sick as hell, expands upon the JSR aesthetic down to the UI and tiniest details
+ Pretty easy to 100%, might need the help of a guide or two but no insanely hard achievements/unlocks

Cons:(-ish?)
- I wish there was MORE music :( Hopefully they add an expansion someday with even more tracks!
+/- Characters don't have unique stats (could be a good thing if you just like a character and don't wanna worry about min-maxing or stuff like that)
- Some mechanics aren't explained very well (seriously, how was I supposed to know you can unscrew fire hydrants using the skateboard??) Well, that's what guides are for at least :P
- Downtime between story beats can feel a bit repetitive (beating another crew pretty much boils down to the same thing each time - do a few stunt/race challenges, then do a big point battle), but it's still fun
- Uhhh I guess sometimes you'll have some upbeat music playing during what's supposed to be a serious cutscene, and very few cutscenes take control of the music themselves? I'm struggling to list cons, lol

Overall rating: 9/10, game understands the concept of love

If you like anything related to punk culture, beat genre, JSR, graffiti, or parkour, do yourself a favor and get this game whenever you can. This is game of the year material, I can 100% guarantee you that.

really short, but incredibly content-dense platformer. like Mario Odyssey but way more fun. Was kind of disappointed there were only 4 levels, cuz I would LOVE a full-sized game like this.

for $7 it's definitely worth it. On sale, you'd be an idiot not try get it.

since the game is so short I can't say much without spoiling it, but if you like quirky humor (think more "Earthbound-esque" humor, rather than "FuNNiE RanDUMBz!!1! reddit-tier humor) and fast-paced, snappy responsive platformers, you should like this.

I will say tho: If you're an achievement hunter, good luck 100%ing this one. One of the achievements is ludicrously hard and requires near frame-perfect inputs on time trial races. Do not recommend going for it if you value your sanity. (imo "speedrunner achievements" are honestly a stupid idea in any game, but maybe I'm just salty)

haven't even finished this game yet and it's one of the best immersive RPGs of all time. enough said. don't know if the DLCs are the same quality, but the base game is certainly worth your time.

my ONLY complaint is that it takes a bit to get into. the first couple hours can be confusing and a tad boring when going in blind. just stick with it. trust me.

Short but amazing Psychonauts-esque "point and click" puzzle game. Except not really point and click, but the idea is the same. Puzzles are straightforward but challenging enough that you feel smart for solving most of them. Characters and music are EXCELLENT, it's easy to spend most of your in-game days just vibing.

The story isn't super mind-blowingly incredible but I'd say you're more there for the characters than the plot. The plot more-or-less services introducing you to the cast and giving you a reason to solve puzzles. But the story is good too.

What sets this apart from other short puzzle games is the charmingly weird gameplay. You don't get dialogue options for characters, for example, but instead move your mouse to nod/shake your head to agree or disagree with questions asked to you. Dialogue itself is great, not trying too hard to be funny or sad, hits a perfect middle-ground tonally and each character feels unique and real!

There's also secrets, a hidden ending, and a bunch of other little treats for exploring every area, taking every dialogue route, etc. There's not really a "fail state" to the game either, you're free to relax and take the game at your own pace. There's a day system meaning you have a limited time before you have to go back to sleep, but it's not meaningless - certain events only happen at specific times of day, and there's... consequences... to being out late.

As for puzzle difficulty, I only needed a guide twice. One achievement is a bit awkward to figure out by yourself and there's like 1 or 2 puzzles that stumped me. Luckily, if you're strongly against guides, there's also a character in-game who will give you 1 hint a day about whatever item you show her. Also, any relevant characters to a specific puzzle will drop more and more obvious hints for every day you can't figure something out, so the game is very casual. But, also challenging enough to feel rewarding if you avoid taking any hints.

fun fishing sim, dunno why they had to put all the shooting stuff in it, but oh well.

You can get softlocked in the menu screen if you accidentally unbind UP/DOWN or Interact while changing the keybinds, which is easy to do because the default controls are weird and horrible lmao.

No way to fix this that I'm aware of either. nice job.

you should really just get this game to experience it, because there's not really anything else like it that I'm aware of. Jokes land and nothing dates the game terribly, feels like a weird dream you'd have after binge-watching Monty Python and all the James Bond movies.

Fun little toybox game to mess around with, if you suck at building or can't be bothered to learn all the mechanics, you can just use other people's vehicles off the workshop.

sadly, game is poorly optimized and lags even with low settings on a powerful computer. Another nitpick is that the vehicles fall apart like wet tissue paper - the slightest bump will destroy a tank completely. Wish there was a "durability slider" when playing around in solo to mess around with.

Devs also unfortunately don't seem to care much about fixing bugs or optimizing the game and are instead just pushing out DLCs. the contests are a cute way to interact with the community but I can't in good conscience recommend the game as anything other than a silly little sandbox for vehicle-building.
