After about 1.1k hours into the game, I must say it's great! Though while the base game can be fun, it is severely lacking without the DLC and requires them to explore the full breadth of the game.
I would overall reccomend the game, but with the caveat that you purchase it, and the DLC's that lock gameplay content, on sale. For reference, those key DLC's are Together for Victory (better puppets, Lend Lease improvements, Spearhead Battleplan), Waking the Tiger (multiple smaller features and General Traits and Abilities), Man the Guns (Naval Designer, and Admiral Traits and Abilities), and La Resistance (Intel Agency)

A fantastic delve into madness and mystery! I've been following the Rusty Lake series for a while now and if you've ever wanted to have a taste, you best play Hotel while it's free. It's not an expensive game, but who's one to argue with a free sample? Please do consider playing the other games if you found this one interesting.

Absolutely phenomenal game. A solid Rogue-lite, and a solid match-3 game. Plenty of different builds and there are some challenging fights. One can sink many hours into this game very easily. I only wish their was some form of multiplayer versus mode where you, perhaps, had a certain amount of points to build an Ironcast or Steam Tank and then could go up against a friend or whoever. Actually, I do wish you could unlock the Ironcast that looks like an old-fashioned camera, or play as a Steam Tank. Overall, It's a good game, solid mechanics, fun gameplay. Check it out if you can.
