So far I've had the servers work for me, and when the game is working it's a blast to play.
The shooting feels great, the cops are balanced and more dangerous than ever before, and moving loot is a lot less tedious.
All that said, the big lack of weapon variety especially with pistols being the only secondary weapons kinda bums me out, but they can fix that later with new content.
However, my only real gripe is the lack of clear stats values on weapons and mods, and the mods feeling like they barely impact the weapons at all.
Overall though, when it works it's fantastic.

The game is still excellent.

Gameplay wise, it's like Realm of the Mad God but refined a ton. Simple and elegant.
Story wise, there isn't one. But the lore that the game has feels unnerving and ever-present. A constant feeling that there are larger powers at work and we are just a tiny thorn in their side. The environments are empty and sprawling in just the right way that they feel like a simulacrum of reality. That combined with all of the hidden items, characters, and enemies that feel just out of place and incorrect enough to make you pause.
I enjoy it. Tons of replay value, tons to unlock, and the ability to min max like crazy with your equipment choices if you want to.

I can play as Peridot from Steven Universe beating a giant cave frog to death with the Night's Edge from Terraria.

An extremely unique take on the doom shooter style. Strong verticality elements and general mobility. A large weapon roster with all of them having an alternate fire. Excellent voice acting. Simple yet stylish and extremely easy to read visuals. An expansive enemy list. An incredible amount of easter eggs and secrets to find.

To me the biggest highlight is that even on normal difficulty each room feels like a challenge, a full clawing for victory challenge trying to find the best angle of attack, trying to kite the stronger foes around, and needing to keep track of all the pickups and when you'll need to sprint over to grab them.

As someone who doesn't usually play doom shooters, it may be easier for more experienced fans. But there are several selectable difficulty options and I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.

Just as stylish as the first game, but with quite a bit more substance.

My friend insists that the giant, human-sized tongue is the best playermodel.
Update: I insist the giant yellow slime creature with hyper-realistic eyes is the best.
