Early Access-recension
Been with this game since close to its first release on Early Access. Unfortunately, because of the huge lack of progress, behaviors on behalf of the developers that I don't agree with, and the current state of the game, I can't recommend this to anyone.

Osiris: New Dawn used to be a great game with a lot of potential. I really enjoyed the original version of the Proteus map. After major changes were made to the map, I feel like the game declined in quality. Content was cut, then added back, but the overall feel of the game changed drastically in a way I didn't like. The game in its current state gets boring quickly, and the community has dwindled due to the lack of updates.

I understand Fenix Fire is under a lot of pressure and scrutiny by the community, and that game development isn't easy. The problem is that Fenix Fire has teased major updates many times and never delivered. The betas and experiences are cool, but they hardly suffice for a gameplay experience to keep the community engaged, and the fact that there have been so many closed betas shrouded in secrecy and hidden from early access players, the ones who have payed to play the game in its unfinished state, is a little ridiculous.

I'm not sure I can trust Fenix Fire to keep their word anymore, and as such, there is no certainty that another main branch update will ever release for this game again. I dream to play this game again someday, but I don't see that happening unless the developers make some big changes in the way they manage things.

I haven't played the first game, but I really love the story of Red Dead 2. I'm running this game on an i5-6600k and a GTX 960 and haven't run into any issues. FPS is a little low, but that's to be expected on my hardware. Hopefully Rockstar can eventually resolve all the issues on other people's systems, but it runs fine on mine.

An old XBLA classic that I decided to experience again on PC. Controls are a bit weird on PC, controller support is iffy, config file editing is required to support 1080p, and framerate limiting is required to keep the physics engine in check, but despite all its glaring flaws, it brings back some good childhood memories of one of the first games I purchased for the Xbox 360.

*** SPOILER WARNING ***

The Witcher was a game I loved and hated, partly because the combat system was terrible and unrealisticly hard (granted, I did have the FCR mod which may have affected difficulty), most of the game was running through the swamps of Vizima, and the game kinda hurt my eyes to look at before I installed some graphics enhancers, but this is an old title.

The game has an amazing story however, and it would greatly benefit you in The Witcher 2 to complete this game and import your save, as you then start off in The Witcher 2 with better swords like the Aerondight and the D'yaebl, as well as possibly already romanced with Triss and with Raven's armor if you crafted it. The game gives the back story of how Geralt started his journey after he lost his memory, and fought with the secret organization of Salamandra who aimed to steal the witcher's mutagens in an attempt to make their own emotionless, and "better" witchers for the benefit of mankind. The game ends with an assassin, also presumed to be a witcher, who tries to kill foltest. Geralt was successful in stopping the assassin, but you will see in The Witcher 2 that the second time wasn't so successful.

There were a lot of bugs and glitches that made me frustrated throughout the game, some of which will seem game breaking and make it nearly impossible to progress, but if you do some googling you can usually fix the problem. Bugs in quests often result when you forget to do something before you do something else, but you can easily backtrace in most cases to fix it. The group combat seems very flawed though, as when you get in the middle of a group of enemies the group combat style seems less effective than picking them off one by one. Maybe this is intentional, but if you don't get yourself un-cornered quickly, you will die over and over and get very frustrated.

In the end, if you can push yourself through the game depite how frustrating and terrible the mechanics may be, you can look back at an amazing backstory, have better knowledge of how the game works when you go to The Witcher 2, and will feel rewarded going to the next game. And as I said previously, you get some nice benefits if you import a save as you get better weapons and armor to start, and if you previously romanced Triss you get a little action in the prologue of Witcher 2 if you know what I mean.

EVGA Precision X really brought the best out of my EVGA model GTX 960. Was able to overclock it as well as set an aggressive fan profile rather than the default in which the fans only kicked in after 60 degrees C, which in turn lowered my temps and got me better performance on games. Only downside is that when I try to play multiplayer games on steam, it'll say I'm in EVGA Precision X instead of that game. Easy fix is to alt + tab, close the program, and re-open. It does get annoying though, but that's a problem for steam to fix. Overall great software, and I definitely recommend it to anyone with an EVGA/Nvidia card. Also, possible fix for the multiplayer glitch is to install the non-steam version of EVGA Precision X from EVGA's website, but I'm lazy and like automatic updates, so I'm sticking with the steam version for now.
