Europa Universalis IV is a very exciting game to play. It very accuratly depicts the life of an absolute ruler of any nation on Earth from the thirteenth to nineteenth centuries. And adding to that, your start era is optional. Unlike games such as Victoria II where you have to purchase a second starting date.

Rome II has its issues, but, setting those issues aside, I find it is a sensible game.
