Fantastic, worth every penny

Haven't even beaten this game yet and I can say with 100% certainty that they not only nailed the feel of dead space 1, but somehow intertwined it with the great gameplay of 2 without the cost of losing the horror.
I've played so many horror games but this one even got me to jump at a part I already knew was coming.
The aesthetic is, well, it's Dead Space one. That's all I wanted.

The soundtrack is the classic intertwined with new tracks, and the new tracks blend into this game so well. The new ones remind me of stuff like Event Horizon or the original Alien, Nicole's songs sound sad yet eerie.

The Peeling system is fantastic, everything is fantastic to use. You can still beat the game with just the plasma cutter but I have been having a blast with the Force Gun.

The story is exactly what I wanted, it's Dead Space one but there's enough subtle changes that don't hurt the story. I've had moments (like Hydroponics) where I think, "okay, now i should go here. No? Wait it's pointing me over here now" and you get those "Oh! that's awesome" moments that don't hurt the original story, but expand on it.

The new weapon parts system is great, a feel of progression and a feel of really building your tools. The exploration moments where you find a weapon part really sells it.

This has surpassed my hopes for this remake, and stomped out any worry I had for it. Motive did a phenomenal job, and I've only gotten 7 hours in so far.

great game, fun movement, fun combat. Need a way for XP to be useful after you max everything out and FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY ADD AN OPTION TO DISABLE THE POST PROCESSING EFFECTS PLEASE

I have sunk so much money into this game Bungie, give me D1 on pc and I'll throw away more.
