The only reason I'm not getting a refund is that I can now play these games guilt-free on emulators.

And the only reason I keep playing these games on emulators is that somehow Konami thinks giving no options whatsoever - control options, most importantly - running the games is a great idea. This is just lazy, Konami. It's 3 years since release and it's still lazy.

Dear, Konami, please don't botch up Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection. I'm begging you.

All this thing is good for is the good conscience from officially paying for it: now you can play these games on an emulator guilt-free. At least then you can set up your damn controls.

Thank you, goodbye.

I'll start with saying that this game doesn't save your control or screen options. Let's hope this bug gets fixed. Rapidly.

A blast from the past! Or the future! I don't know! The Turtles are back with another lovely beat 'em up! This one laugh at itself while also being the serious brawl that it's meant to be. definitely one for the Turtles fan of the past. It's a nice change of pace to play with Splinter although I'm not entirely sure April really fits the bill as a brawler. At any rate, it's fun, colorful and deliciously pixelated. Go ninja, go ninja, GO!

This game is some absolutely stupid ♥♥♥♥. I don't know if you're even supposed to succeed in the operations. Somehow I don't even care. The tags of the game reveal the truth.

If you're into some stupid fun, this game is for you!

This game remains pretty challenging in every difficulty. It's by no means the cakewalk the original NES game would have been. Personally, I really love the redesign. It feels like you're taking on one of the larger-than-life adventures with the DuckTales gang.

I really, REALLY liked the original NES title so seeing this Remastered version... I was smiling ear to ear when I first started up the game. Gotta love this version of the main title! The rearranged versions of all the tracks of the game... the designers took no prisoners when they set out to tune up the NES game. Listen to the new version of The Moon theme... and you KNOW you're in for the adventure of a lifetime!

I MIGHT gripe that there are times that the difficulty spikes through the roof in the infamous Capcom fashion. Maybe I'm too lazy or something, but difficulty spikes don't really qualify for replay value.

However, the music and the graphics are really immersive and the control is as good as it ever was in this game. I personally felt I was with Scrooge all the way. Despite the some ridiculously frustrating stage design elements I can't really fault this game.

If you're into old-school platforming, do yourself a favor and grab this one!

Sure. It's the good ol' NES Mega Man games. I certainly like the challenges since I tend to think I know my way around these particular games.

However, they are yet another display of Capcom's knack for frustrating the players. So... gold challenges? And what, pray tell, is the time you must beat? The challenges could add replay value, but instead Capcom sucks at these kinds of things as much as they suck with their level design in the newer Mega Man titles, X included.

Whoever makes these decisions should probably resign.

Capcom is getting pretty infamous with its unwillingness to create a proper keyboard binding system for their PC ports. If you don't want to take into account the ecosystem you're porting the game to, why bother at all? Some PC players don't play with a pad. How hard is that to grasp?

This is rather sad because because I'm pretty sure I would have loved the game. Instead, I went for a refund after a minute or two.

Blatant laziness by the company unfortunately cops them from a fair review. The content is probably lovely and the graphics are probably great... but... sorry, Capcom. With your sloppy approach to the controls I can not recommend this title.

I'm not recommending this game. Steam asked if I have changed my mind. I haven't.

Well. Looks like Mega Man, smells like Mega Man so it's gotta be Megaman. The thing looks exactly how a new Mega Man game should look like in this day and age.

However... It appears that Capcom have lost their thread on level design and are confusing fun with frustration. They took every trick that copped Mega Man 9 out of any replay value and used steroids on them. I don't really know what to make of levels that are so frustratingly difficult that you don't want to go back to them even in the easiest difficulty.

These kinds of things sometimes make me wonder who these games are actually targeted for. I mean, sure, the basic gameplay is there and it feels like Mega Man traditionally does... but in the recent games the level design has gone down to hell, really.

I managed to run through the game in Beginner mode. Well... that's one way to beat through this heap, but what fun is it when everything dies around you so quickly that you'll miss half the game? Mega Man's near immortality helps you somewhat with the levels you probably never want to revisit again.

Switching to Casual mode still makes you miss half the game - only this time it's because the level design won't let you see it! After playing in the Beginner mode you'll have a grasp of the level design and you're already disgusted by the mere thought of returning to Acid Man, Torch Man or Bounce Man's levels. Now that Mega Man is a mere mortal you're going to need nine lives to clear the levels.

Actually, nine lives isn't going to cut it.

Also... Could someone PLEASE explain me what Capcom's obsession is with partially assignable keyboard controls? Why is the subscreen put in that random letter somewhere and we can't put it elsewhere? Are they lazy or hell-bent on making something to nag about?

Sad to say, but I think Capcom has dropped the ball.

The premise and the plot of the game have a typical, cheap anime hentai flavor. Let's be frank about it: all of us chose to play this game because we wanted to see a girl running around in high heels with boobies bouncing and hands cuffed behind her back (and if you didn't, fine, I'm not going to have that argument with you). I'm just waiting for the demand to have a male version of this game. And then the other gender.

Thank God they didn't flash the ultimate terror, the female nipple! The game would have been entirely ruined. Whew!

The sexist, objectifying, female-shaming, social justice war-mongering raison d'etre for feminism aside, we're looking at a really clever puzzle game!

It's one thing to have a puzzle that you can screw up by a karate kick to the wrong block forcing you to start the level over, but in addition you're also greeted with a limited amount of jumps and opportunies to break the said block, throwing an all new monkeywrench into the game in question!

The game seems to run really smoothly from where I'm watching. The controls are there although the mouse button had me waste a valuable kick more than enough times.

I recommend that you look past the premise and visuals and give this puzzle a shot - it'll keep you busy for a while!

Well, all of these games are familiar to me so no problem there. I know what I'm getting into with these. Kudos for Capcom for coming around with getting rid of the Guns 'n Roses references in X5. The games themselves are exactly what they're intended to be with their shining perks and crippling flaws.

The framerate issue is a bugger, but they're looking into it, so we'll just have to wait. Having that said I do have to wonder how even the 2D portion of the title doesn't run right.

I WILL gripe about the controls of the game, though. Capcom made some disasterous calls there - some that make my experience somewhat unenjoyable at the first glance.

Why do we navigate the master menus of the game with Z and A buttons when it's more intuitive to use Enter and ESC? The music player controls I can't understand, either. Why can't that be navigated with the arrow keys? The original series Legacy Collections handled this one much intuitively.

Another one is that, for example, in Megaman X5, besides the directional controls there are 8 keys to assign on the keyboard, but there's a fixed set of 3 keys that Capcom demands we use as a part of it - no matter what our preferred game ergonomy is. I'm stuck with Space for the weapons menu when I'd rather use Enter. WHY can't we customize this?

So. These games could be fun, but I don't understand these calls Capcom made.

If it weren't for the control issues - that basically ruined my first experience and my enthusiasm for this collection - I would give it a thumb up. Unfortunately the games are not in my control as much as I'd prefer. Therefore... I will not recommend it.
