This game is.. kinda crap. There's those like me who will fall for all the reviews I saw, and there's you. Don't be me. This game runs like ♥♥♥♥. This game has problems with just randomly deleting your progress without warning, so you feel like what your doing doesn't matter. I'd like to say I'm looking forward to coming back to it, but the 8 hours I've spent in this will be THE HOURS I've spent in it until the game gets ♥♥♥♥ together.

After 130 hours played, I finally have a review. I waited and waited to see if the game remained fun and I got my money's worth. It has gotten even better. Today they dropped a completely free dlc and a cheap weapon dlc both very worthy of praise. To put it into perspective, I rarely play most games for long at all. And that's a shame. They just don't live up to what I want from a game. I want content, but not spaghetti on a wall content. Stuff that's really well done. This game has over a dozen really awesome missions and locations, and each time you play them it's different because of your gear/char/build. And! The grimoires and tomes rotate so you have to check every spot. After 130 hours I couldn't tell you ONE for sure location. I usually stumble upon them while exploring the map. The locations are so good, I've found new hidden areas and items and easter eggs almost daily. FOR ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY HOURS. For a warhammer fan in the U.S. this and TWWH2 really helps me break into the world. Love this game to bits. For those of you who constantly complain that they should do this or that WHEN THEY HAVE ADDED something, anything, to the game, you need some humble pie, truly. If you were a dev, that response is disheartening and why would they keep supporting it because of this? They do it for us fans who are just happy and excited to be PLAYING their game. It's amazing. In my opinion, it's in the top 3 games of all time. Also, I'll be buying darktide and any other future projects. Even if they stumble sometimes, they always do us right. They don't do it for money. They do it because they are passionate, the the good ones of us. Instead of complaining about this and that, reach out to them and give a suggestion, be the change you want to see.

I don't usually write reviews but I felt this game deserves an exception. From someone who fell in love with the warhammer fantasy world a few years ago in the hype for the first game, I found a passion. The world is amazing with characters that aren't your cut and paste hero or villain types. It's a grey world much like our own, but with much more fantastical and interesting locales and races and stories to tell. Being an american guy in Nursing school, I don't have alot of time for other things. Those books are my escape when I'm stressed. This game really brings it to life in such an amazing and breathtaking way. There's just nothing like seeing those amazing tales jump to life before your eyes and to write your own story by rping a LL. Being a Lore lover, Grimhammer II is a must. If you're wondering if this game is worth it, know that I've played for 75 hours already but it feels like I've only played for 2. If this review stays relevant, watch my hours soar. The DLC is expensive but not if you only buy what you want. Personally, I don't want to play as a dusty old skeleton or a beastman or a tree hugging wood elf. I will recommend however that you try out Norsca, Chaos, and the wonderful Vampire Coast. Also, the King and the Warlord as well as the Prophet and the Warlock are nice if you like that kind of thing. All in all, 111/100.

The game is absolutely fantastic, I am not easily impressed by games, and I for one have become seriously addicted to this game, My grades are failing because this game is in my head ALL day... I came up wiht a blueprint for a base while in US history class... Yeah, its that kind of game, there is just SOOO much to do, you will NEVER get bored, and if you do MODS... thats all im going to say guys, I want to reccomend but I dont at the same time because it is literally like crack cocaine... stay safe fam

I started the game 120 something hours ago...
decided i wanted to be a nord like a viking or whatev...
thought game was fairly decent
recruited about 30 lvl.1 noobcroolets
saw a small man on a horse in campaign map that said Sea Raiders Following Leon Stone(me)
Decided i was a real man and took on the force of the 15 men with my 30...
bottom left hand side of screen is all red and yellow messages...
one by one my noobcroolets fall at the hands of the Sea Raiders...
I realize that im not a very good viking captain...

Kingdom of rhodoks now...
apperently rhodok crossbowmen are 360 noscope triple x double y mlg pro trick shotters that will shoot u from across the map before you can say charge...

finally get the hang of game and kill a few Sea Raider parties...
lvl up my character and noobtroops until I am fairly powerful...
go into khergit territory...
with my 30 men i take on 19 or so advanced "Horse Archers"...
Get rekt from the original blitzkreigers because we cant even hit them...

Try their style of combat, occaisional melee lancing with majority being focused on bow use...
found my fighting style and am unstoppable..

guys this is a game that is absolutely amazing even though graphics are outdated. You WILL NOT regret this purchase at all... just by the game. And btw that story was just vanilla... mods are mostly larger and more polished than vanilla game so rly guys if not for calradia than for the mods because there are hundreds of them and they are absolutely amazing...

So... Got the game on steam summer sale 2015, was kinda interested because of reviews. First 10 minutes of this game I realized I had been playing for 2 hours... WARNING: DO NOT BUT THIS GAME IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF EXPERIENCING; Fun, happiness, love, aliveness, horror, smiling, or a fairly large amount of addiction. People who play this game experience: drooling, extreme weight gain, diabetes, sleep deprivation, homelessness, deprivation of human contact, anger issues, crying... lots and lots of crying, and worst of all, losing everything that ever meant something to you... (get the ♥♥♥%ing) Game!)

This game is great, even for a beginner to total war and a beginner to strategy games in general(still took me about 22 hours to get the games mechanics and to be able to defeat even the smallest army on easy mode)


started prologue took over olbia and the other stood outside gates of the first city and some army completely took over the other two towns and i lost the game(within 20 turns, and that was the PROLOGUE....ON EASY)

ok on a more serious note, the game really is great to play, a little hard to run even with a mid to upper range of computer but im talking about the gameplay not the spec requirements. ok the graphics are great even on lowest resolution and on max performance (btw, if your having fps issues, get razer game booster, put on max performance and put on lowest resolution.

10/10 would die within 20 turns to a tiny army on easy mode in prologue

This game is just amazing. Never played anything more fun than this game it will keep you coming back forever.
Hundreds of heavy artillery units pounding every other person in the game. 11/10

This game is better than the binding of isaac, yeah i said it! This game is everything that i love in a videogame; fun, hard, and most of all FLIPPING AWESOME!!!
