I love horror themed games and while I own Phasmo, it never quenched the thirst for spooks and scares quite like Demonologist has. Not all jumpscares relate to the entity in question and not all jumpscares always trigger each time you visit the map. The randomization for the jumpscares keep you from 'getting used' to the scripted spooks when venturing through your selected map. Each map offers its own visual design thats coupled with an eerie atmosphere for added shivers. The addition/subtraction of items for your respective demon hunt is user friendly, some games like to over complicate certain things and this isnt one of them.

Do I want my hub to be a run down building? A pub? An apartment? Lighthouse? A penthouse? I might've picked lighthouse but you have other options!

Like pets? Puppy, cat, turtle, flamingo, and even a chicken. Some part of me wishes for an aquarium.

Overall, if I have to pick between what I enjoy the most of between Demonologist or Phasmo, it would be Demonologist. It has room to grow and I look forward to the future it holds.

Games dont need to be over complicated to enjoy them with your friends and LC nails that aspect. c:

I didn't think I would enjoy this game as much as I currently do, TCM dug its claws into me the day I had access to the technical test several months back.
Rough launch aside (and absolutely RUDE community aside, most of them are spoiled it seems) the game offers the ability to play with friends on both Victim(Survivor) side as well as Family(Killer) side. Sure, you can play solo but all games are more fun with friends.
The Devs, despite the communities overwhelming negative reviews I scrolled through before coming to put my own in, have worked hard to deliver balancing changes while also trying to please the community.
