This game's campaign follows the Gears of War 4 story up relatively well. So if you are into the Gears universe solely for the story mode I believe you will enjoy it.

Multiplayer is more focused around rifle gameplay and less of the shotgun battles previous Gears titles revolved around. Also the maps have far too many power weapons scattered around, including the new weapons introduced which I find to be much to powerful. Also the push for micro-transactions over earning character/weapon skins by leveling up continues in this installment of the game.

Kill the maggot filth that infests the Earth.

Basically you're the biggest edgelord on the planet, that is all.

If you want to whoop everyones ass while playing as a Cyborg, Naruto, Samurai Jack mash-up, this game is perfect for you.
