If you're willing to bang your head against the skill wall that is MK11 Online Ranked until your skill level matches that of the opponents, it's a fun time.

Much better than the overly monetized cash shop that is MK1 in just about every way - and so I do recommend this game, just not through Steam. Buy it on a PS5 if at all possible instead so you get voice chat options. It'll make the game far better for you if you do. The lack of Voice Chat on PC would've been a dealbreaker for me buying on PC if I had known about it ahead of time, as is, it's just an oddity that I've accepted.
