ROR2 vanilla and survivors of the void are goated

This one however...is not.

This introduced game breaking bugs (especially on xbox, good lord..rip to you guys losing all your progress if you plugged in a second controller)

The new survivors are....not great. The seeker is weak as hell, ult doesn't work as intended and is horrible to use mid-fight especially late game, chef lacks all fluidity possible and feels so weird to play at points. Ultimate on chef is super strong, but his primary fire is garbage. The recall mechanic is not great. The false son is the best of the three imo, but he lacks any animation fluidity - as it seems that he was made by rookies 2 days before launch and was thrown together in that time. The new items aren't awful, but they're not great either...not having any movement items is kinda wack IMO. The new star one is SICK however. Too much utility, but not in the way of offense which is ROUGH.

The game at it's core is broken with the launch of this expansion, to Z E R O acknowledgement from the development team. We waited far too long for this to be priced where it's at for its horrible quality control. What sucks is that the original devs of this game crafted such a perfect rogue-like experience, at least in my eyes. ROR2 has been one of the most fun games I've played between console and PC - and has been great to play with friends from time to time.

The BIGGEST PROBLEMS LIE WITH THE FACT THAT if you PLAY over 60 fps lock, then you can just be obliterated by the craziest stuff. You fly into a wall too fast, die. You can't play half the roster that has any movement mechanics (barring Commando and Huntress). You get killed instantly by things that wouldn't have killed before, and some of the AI is extremely broken (pathing to name one, but targeting as well)...the fact that you CANNOT kill Mithrix is INSANE considering he's still the final boss of the game and some people would like to run the game for an hour, then go and fight him....
The quality control alone for this expansion is what is going to kill Take Two or Gearbox from letting Risk of Rain flourish..simply because this was made by people who A) Don't understand Risk of Rain 2's true nature or B) Was forced to make this in a very short period of time, which is crazy considering the fact that this was shadow dropped (announced like 6 days before release), had little to no build up -- but with roadmaps has been known its coming for a long time.

The game does not deserve this kind of poor quality control across the board. There should've been some level of communication from the studio before release stating they need to delay for another X amount of time for QC reasons, or just giving the developers (who I really hope did not have to do insane levels of crunch to get this out), time to actually let this be what it should've been from the start.

Insane that you make people wait so long for an expansion of this poor level of quality and content. It's almost like the devs at Bungie took over and decided to sprinkle in their "do not over-deliver as it well set poor expectations" type of vibe.

Sad, really. Until the bugs are at least acknowledged, and until the devs actually do something about this - save your money. I sadly lost my save file but I'm smart enough to keep a copy -- however players on console do NOT have that luxury.

No play testing went into this it seems, no quality control, zero marketing at all - which is shameful considering this is one of the best games we've ever had release, in the history of games.

realistically a downgrade from mw2019 which i think was a masterpiece multiplayer, at least since bo3. campaign is ass, warzone is definitely a downgrade and the maps are booboo. but yet, alas, another year, another cod i will play because honestly? infinity ward > other studios.still pissed abt it tho, but take my money ya jerks.i was told to revise my review since i added 15 hours of play time. THE MAPS ARE BOOBOO, WARZONE 2 IS ASS, DEEZE NUTS.

This is easily one of the most perfectly crafted games of all time. At points the pacing is questionable, but it truly is a masterpiece. Santa Monica took one of the most insane psychopathic, crazed killing machines and turned him into a more relatable character. The story arch of both Atreus and Kratos from start to finish is one of the best. Since 2018 I've played through this game a few times, and without question I bought it on PC as soon as I could. This is how a story driven game should be crafted. No cutting corners, no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ keeping you from enjoying the fun. It's challenging, exciting, and emotionally invigorating. If you haven't played this game or you're on the fence, you should just bite the bullet and give it a try. The soundtrack, visuals, open world, combat, leveling, progression, dialogue, plot twists, boss fights..this is what every games standard should and should've been set by (since launch). Without question more pros than cons to the game (such as reused boss kill animations to name a con), but I can most certainly look past those points. It's a visceral experience and I truly believe that this iteration of God of War is simply one of the greatest games to have ever existed, and will EVER exist. I'm primarily an FPS player, and typically I don't enjoy games like this...but man.. I can't wait for Ragnarok.
