Bought this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing on retail a year ago and I ran into too many problems (random crashes, glitches with mods)
I forgot about this disaster for a year when I got Attila. Then I picked up the Wrath of Sparta edition, thinking to revisit this game and give it a second chance.
Now my game DOES NOT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WORK AT ALL. It FREEZES IN THE STARTUP SCREEN DESPITE ME HAVING NO MODS.
From what I gather after some googling, this problem is pretty common and almost unfixable (the solutions offered didn't help me at least) since 2013, and sweet mother diabeetus, IT'S HAPPENING TO ME YEARS AFTER THIS GAME IS EVEN IN ITS PRIME.

Worst part? Because I stupidly got this on retail, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ can't get a refund either despite not being able to even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PLAY it. Seriously, it's ♥♥♥♥ like this that makes me want to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pirate Total War games instead nowadays.
