When we returned to Super Earth they spat on us and called us baby killers. Most of us are homeless now. Some seek to numb the pain of betrayal at the bottom of a bottle, others chose to "opt out." Frankly, I can't blame them. We were used as pawns in a war that we couldn't win. We gave the best hours of our lives fighting for Super Earth. I can't even count how many friends and brothers that we've loss. Our loyalty and dedication meant nothing to the higher ups. The funding of the war cause, our effort, our lives... it was never enough. They kept asking for more. Sadly, I have nothing left to give.

There's no place for an old Helldiver anymore. Not here, not anywhere.

THIS. THIS IS THE GREATEST GAME!

Aesthetics: Starts out with bland dessert colors but changes into a diverse array of palettes. Color is well integrated thematically to reveal changes in the story and the characters.

Gameplay: Typical boring 3rd person shooter with awkward cover and vaulting mechanics.

Story: Without spoiling too much, the story draws upon a variety of literary and film classics such as Heart of Darkness, Moby ♥♥♥♥, and obviously, Francis Ford Coppola's Apocalypse Now. I can’t praise the writing enough. This story, especially the ending makes the crummy gameplay totally worth it.
Additionally, Spec Ops: The Line takes a most refreshing and realistic approach to the morality system in games. It's a short game and it's totally worth your time. 8/10

It's no Uncharted but it's pretty good if you play Drake's theme in the background.

Challenging as hell. There are minor bugs but overall it was a very well designed game.

Accessible and functional. Good stuff.
