Disrespect it completely. Phantom Slash can only vortex you if you try to escape it. If you just hyper armor through attacks, it forces me to adjust.

After 1 hit of offstoc or 2, I recommend you hit with the halberd to rollcatch instead of spamming offstoc, I could just get out of range everytime
