Absolutely fantastic game, most fun I've had in a long time.

DEMOCRACY WINS AGAIN

Being a brand new release, it is completely packed with bugs and crashes, but it's otherwise a ridiculously fun social deduction game. It's basically a well-done mashup of Town of Salem and Among Us: you're actually running through the town and performing your duties, and you have freedom to do whatever you want during the day. There are side quests you can do along the way to earn currency, which you can spend at different vendors for a variety of helpful items. As long as they quickly iron out the bugs, I would easily recommend Eville at this price point.

Not bad at all. I just finished my first playthrough, and I'll at least do a second just to see the other ending. It plays mostly like a visual novel with a little bit of clue-searching and puzzle-solving sprinkled in.

Graphically, it's fantastic for its price point, and visually distinct from any other SCP game. You can tell there was a lot of care poured into the art direction. As a whole, this game seems like an excellent vehicle to dive into more SCP lore, if the studio was ever to release a DLC or anything like that.

The flow of the story itself was fine, but some of the constant transitions between cutscenes and gameplay felt a little janky. And while some of the voice acting is great, some is also... well, less than stellar. BUT it's nice that it's there.

Honestly, though, I just can't complain at this price point. New and old SCP fans alike are gonna enjoy this.

The issues that have plagued this game from the start still roam: terrible desync, challenge/chore system, cosmetics almost entirely paywalled for hefty amounts of cash (for the first time in the game's history), and the utter lack of essential content that always came with previous titles (Forge, custom games, social features, player lobbies, etc.). And whose bright idea was it to bring in unbalanced vehicle drops? I can't count the number of times I've seen both teams be evenly matched in Big Team Battle, and all of a sudden, one team gets a mongoose, the other gets a tank and steamrolls the enemy.

Even with the issues, I am still reluctant to give the game a bad review because once in a while, I genuinely have fun playing. The core gameplay and gunplay was put together so well. It's just... everything else is atrocious, to the point where the bad easily outweighs the good. And when it comes down to it, 90% of the time I play, it feels little more than a chore as I try to keep up on the limited-time cosmetics from weekly challenges and events.

343 blew their last chance with the franchise. When Forge mode arrives, sure, it'll completely change Halo Infinite for the better -- but by the time it finally gets here, it's gonna be too little, too late.

Though I will say, If you've never played Halo before: try it. You'll have a blast. Just don't come in with any expectations from previous titles, or otherwise, you'll be sorely disappointed.
