This is the most cinematic game you will ever play while being one of the most fun. Expect to die a lot. Going into the game with the attitude of being expendable will set you up for a great time.

Let me start by saying I am not a huge fan of D&D at all. I normally like more scifi games and mech games. AC6 was great but unbalanced which undermines its core design. This game however, even outside of my normal taste, is easily and objectively going to be the game of the year. If you told me a 110H campaign was going to be repayable I would have laughed at you... it somehow is.

Was a great game but crashes on launch now. Im not even on win11 and it still fails.

Performance, which is improving each update, aside, this game has the best acting out of any game I have ever played. Horizon Zero Dawn had some good work, but this is film level, and it beats out most movies in this regard. Visual dirrection is also on point looking like a greatest hits of starwars' styles. This game drips quality in every regard, save performance, which I cant help but blame the DRM for.

Game has some of the best character writing you will find in gaming. World building is also world class. World looks great. Combat is not the best on harder difficulty settings at the beginning but forces you to interact with the various combat mechanics that once understood makes for some good fun once also leveled. There is one outright broken weapon but ill keep that to myself so you can experiment and without that knowledge.

There is nobody online. I thought I was stuck in some tutorial because of how fast it places you against a bot. In fact its so fast I don't think I could time a drop with another player.
On the painting side its a cool idea, but if you know how to paint models well you will instantly notice how some things do not work correctly at all. In real life if you put a thin coat of paint down it will show quickly on lighter parts of the models, say light grey and white. While dark areas will show very little to no color. If you also know how to paint you will recognize this as zenithal painting. THE GAME DOES IT BACKWARDS. Black instantly changes to whatever color you have while your lighter areas are just that lighter. this is cool if you want a base color and a down tone of it on top. But is completely unrealistic, and leaves you without the natural shadows you will want. it also feels like the brush goes through the model every now and then but I would need to check, and really I just want my money back. Maybe ill pick it back up on release if the game actual lets you play it and the paint problems are fixed.

Just like the original with some changes, such as drawing two cards at the end of turn rather than one. However, the original game style is playable with all cards unlocked. The new game mode only has the first set, with some modifications.

Started playing the game again recently, and its a totally different game than it was when I played it a year ago. Lots to do and some good variety now in the weapons and missions. The addition of side smaller objectives that can be found mid mission also really helps to change the flow of the game. I wish that there was some explanation to them for those of us that didn't see them come out, but having them is much better than not.

I can't recommend buying the game. In some whys it works, but in others it is still a broken jank fest. While the game "supports" more than 60 fps, you will want to throw your monitor across the room as rocks, crates, and even some other static objects, vibrate in place while you move. Also when playing like this it has tremendous input lag. While many videos you will watch say will say it is fixed. They have not been. You can find the likely cause of this by 343's exit interviews, saying they bring in temp workers who have to learn code that has been temp fixed over and over again. The code is a mess and the churning of workers has made good workers with an understanding of the code hard to come by in the company. Also they are charging you for a better version of halo 1 that is just the old half baked PC port from 2001, with a fresh coat of paint. This means for you that the textures in the game are not formatted correctly so if you played it on the old xbox you will notice it looks poorer. that's not just your memory, its a bad and broken port made by gearbox.

There is a reason this game has won so many awards. It is great. simply put, with out reservation, it is worth every penny. It is a simple concept executed to perfection.
