I like the game somewhat. But i really feel like i was playing through a movie iwth minimal interactions. At one point theres a whole section with no puzzles / Combat and i feel like it's just wasted potential? Idk.

Were the people who worked on the first game not working on this one? I feel so sad because when i think about Hellblade 1 i get excited. But this one just felt less in every aspect. Less playtime, less engaging story, lower quality puzzles, combat was simpler.

I will say I did enjoy the story characters. And the overall bones of the story are fine. Just disapointed is all.

Early Access Review
After playing this product for about 40 hours since release of early access and some alphas before hand,
I believe i can give this thing a fairly Decent Review:

( Paras. 1 & 2 go over gameplay, so if you want to see the review skip to para. 3 )

1.) To start with, this game ( on release ) will be a F2P, 4v1, hero dungeon crawl style game, similar to
that of the game Evolve, but with more in depth objectives to focus on. It plays like this, you que into a
draft where each player takes turns selecting their hero / demons. The " Veil demon " ( the player who
is alone ) gets to chose 3 times what they want, picking a beast, then Veil demon, then beast. All of
which also have their own classes and variety. The heroes, chose 1 of 4 classes and 6 schools of magic
( which gets expanded upon as you play more ). All of this allows for alot of counter play which the more
you unlock and knowladge you gain, the crazier your counters will get if you grasp what is handed to you.

2.) After the draft the Instanced PVP begins. The Veil demon gets to play around in the instance while the
heroes are locked in 1 room for a small duration, giving the Veil demon time to strategize how it wants
to kill them. Some veil demons can be more trap focused while others can chose to be more focused
tward possessing minions to make them stronger and harder to deal with, ( Trap demons can still possess ).
And from there, the main focus for the Demon is to wipe the heroes, while the heroes goal is to get through
multipul objective focused rooms to the boss room where once killed, they win.

3.) So, I LOVE pvp, the 4v1 concept, and RPGS. Most games cant find balance in PVP and kinda get under
my skin when balancing issues are clear but there is nothing done for way too long.
With all that said, i think that this being in the state that it is, Could be aloooot worse than what some are
making this out to be.
Lets talk about the negatives first as it stands during the time of this review:
- Gold gains need to be higher
- UI could be improved upon
- Not enough Content ( yet )
- Leveling past 8 ( per class ) doesnt yield rewards
- Need WAY more keybindings
- Some concepts ( such as equipment/Gems, ability trading between classes, & equipment traits )
need to be better explained
- Voice acting ( kinda cringy for now )
- Confusing bugs
- A little more balancing needs to be done
- Needs more appearance customization

4.)If theres anything on this list that will definatly turn the average player off quick, it's the
progression, and gold earning. The ammount of gold you earn in this game is definatly not enough
to keep most people playing. Mind you, at this time they gave everyone who purchased their copy a
free 100% gold and EXP boost. With this i still feel like im moving far too slow than is needed.
And the ammount of gold earned also links to enjoyment of the game ( IMO). Lets say you bought
the standard pack ( like i did ), you start with 6 heroes ( of 18 ), and 1 veil demon ( of 6 ), 1 of each
having 1 on a free rotation, which feels very fair. But since there are 4 different classes and 6 schools,
realisticaly your going to enjoy playing 2, of which maybe you'll find success with since drafting heavily
influences the game ( you can have more than 1 of the same character on a team ).
The progressions system RN really makes you feel like you get worn out of the game very quickly, with
the ammount of content provided just doesnt suit a casual player, This game heavily leans in favor to
" THE GRIND "... And theres nothing wrong with that. But casuals beware.

Lets talk about the positives now:
- The Gameplay feels fun
- Playing with friends is great
- Being good at higher levels of play requires knowledge of game
- Its not forgiving to people who stand where they shouldnt
- Building a classe is fun ( but hard to get to )
- Devs are Very much into helping
- Not as toxic community ( yet )
- Community Discord is helpfull
- Each class feels unique
- THE UPDATES KEEP COMING!
- Playing as Demon/Hero in lower levels doesnt feel overwhealming ( in my experience )
-Again the gameplay is actualy fun and it feels good to win and you earn that win.

5.) So, with everything above having been typed, This game has the potential to be a
Small jewel to be marveled at from afar while everyone wonders how it got to be the
way it is, IF the developers keep working on their game and don't Mess this up. Now
Some abilities feel really good to use but man some are clearly not working as intended
But these devs feel like something else man, there are aren't that many ( in my experiance )
that try to reach out and really try to be as clear with what their doing as these guys so far.
And if you want to see how far they are trying to plan for this game then they have linked
us a roadmap and i'll drop it down below.

6.) If your looking for a time sink, i think in due time this game could be worth it to buy into the
early access, Right now i think it takes a special person to play it in its current state, and id
only reccomend people getting this game with like minded people. Because 4v1s AREN'T
for everyone, and exposure to this game too soon could ruin the experiance for alot of
people.
If your unsure, wait for early access, if your eager, Buy it. If you buy it alone, then join the
discord, because there are tons of people who'll play/help you.
