Dead by Daylight is one of my favourite games of all time, it isn't flawless as a product but the joy it provided me in the 1200 hours since I first purchased it has been nothing short of stellar.

This game has a wide variety in the perk system which allows for a wide-range of play-styles, with a decent amount of variance within those. Want to play as a medic? Go ahead! Confront the killer head-on? Of course. Complete the generators as fast as possible? For sure!

While people will debate how fun each and every killer is to play with/against, there is little debate on how little variety there is between both original and licensed killers. With regular quarterly major updates and seasonal events there is almost always a reason to hop-in and play some matches.

My largest gripe with the game is how little the 'meta' of perks has changed in all these years, the same amazing survivor perks that were meta many years ago are still relevant today. (This could be considered a positive depending on your view) The game could be considered an offender in the Pay-2-Win section...With every killer/survivor chapter that releases could introduce another perk in the toolkit that makes a certain play-style easier or more consistent. If I had the give the P2W a scale, with 10 being a game dominated by the ability to buy power. Dead by Daylight gets a 5. While perks can definitely assist a killer or survivor, the skill of the player can greatly make-or-break the outcome of a match.

Overall Dead by Daylight is an amazing game to get into with friends or even solo. (If you can handle the random teammates) The wide variety of perks, maps and killers keep the content feeling fresh for newer players!
