Early Access Review
So this game definitely delivers on being a rogue-like and each run is *ahem* almost not the same experience. I love zombie games and love rogue likes ranging from FTL to Slay The Spire. I would say there are some definite pros and cons to this game.

Pros: Not very expensive for the possibility of entertainment you will get out of it, even for being early access.

Good selection of characters with a wide array of unique abilities.

A character unlocking and ability unlocking progression system that allows you more access to characters abilities and other characters from the start of the game the more you play, very interesting system.

Cons: The game currently seems a bit unbalanced in terms of enemy difficulty. The beginning enemies can seem to be absolute pushovers at first and as soon as your party gets filled up to 4 characters in the second "area" you will start encountering enemies that, if you happen to have a sub-balanced party with a good spread of damage and protection skills you will 9 times out of 10 get the floor mopped with your whole party.

Speaking of unbalanced, I don't know if this is just me but the usefulness of character skills compared to the length of time you have to wait before that character makes another move seems to be far too long, for every two skills or attacks my characters played out it seemed like the enemies got double the amount of attacks and thus, double the amount of damage output as my own party, especially the hound enemies and the frantic undead seem to have very quick attacks and easily outpace almost any characters I've unlocked thus far. you should always have a chance to get to the end of the game and not have to bash your head against an undead wall for upwards of two and a half to 3 hours with 15 different runs all ending in TPK's in 1 single fight; Not kidding, I had six characters and they ALL died in 1 skirmish in a non-boss fight.

Anyways, the game is good but can be frustrating at times. it definitely needs some tweaking with enemy skills and delays in skill usage. Nominally, a slight buff to some if not more character skills so the delay does not force you to watch each enemy bite on your team for 2-3 attacks each before your own team even gets to start going again.

A solid 6.5 out of 10

Edit: one other con would be have a small selection of bosses per area. Instead of the same 1 boss for each zone make it a 1 in 2 or 1 in 3 choice, to encourage people to not try to build specifically to counter the one known boss.

Bioshock 1 and 2 are great games and you should pick them up if you are a fan of suspenseful games and action games.
