The humor of this game is right up my alley. It's wild, it has its own sort of sense to itself, a great energy, and I adore it. I love the characters!

Personally, I wish there were some happier endings for each character, but I don't think that's what the creators had in mind, and that's fair! The Aorta, Arakawa and Marshmallow endings ♥♥♥♥♥♥ me up, broskis.

I wish the CGs weren't (admittedly hilariously) always censored (the originals aren't even that scandalous, it's just some shirtless CGs of guys) but I'll admit that the censoring gave me a laugh, so whatever. LOL.

Would I recommend this...? Hmmmmmmm, for the experience? Absolutely. I truly adore it. But on the other hand...there's enough about it to where I sit there going, but should I?

So that's why this seems very in the middle, despite my personal appreciation for it. I wish it was longer, I wish there were a few more 'happier' endings, and I wish for this game to tear my heart up so more, really. So yeah, I recommend it - but only to people who want a unique experience that's funny and comes with some pain.

I'll come back and review this properly but I think I'm in love with this game.

The characters are a riot, I love every single one of them, and I can only hope the creator is willing to create more games, and continue the path of fun, dynamic characters with interesting friendships, rife with flaws, interesting investigations on what REALLY is going on in a plot, and--please keep letting us kiss the villain(s), at least sometimes! ;^)

I'm gonna say yes for recommendation, but with a very big caveat...?

First, the positive: The art's pretty, there's some really fun character dialogue and plots. I really like Vincent, the poly route was surprisingly much better than I was expecting (I LOVE Nika and Max), I love Silas and Milo's routes immensely. It's a historical otome, and I would love to see more of them. I even admit I like everything enough to where I'll be (eventually) purchasing Speakeasy: Last Call so that I can read more of these characters and their adventures. So obviously I do like it.

So there's two complaints I have, and it's these.

1) Some routes feel jarring with their resolutions/progress and shifts in character behaviors, and two routes in particular feel significantly shorter as an experience, like they start and then get wrapped up very easily. I felt like Dhalia's and Will's routes in particular felt more like afterthoughts and seem sidelined.

2) Almost everyone except a few of the guys seem FAR more interested in each other than the protagonist 90% of the time. There's something jarring about how the premise is otome, but the writing feels more like it really wants to be a BL game. And hey, I'd be totally ok with a BL game, I own plenty, but I came for an otome - which is what was advertised! There's even a route where the protagonist is romancing Guy A, and the route pauses to focus on Guy A and Guy B having had sex, or wanting to have sex but Guy B turning him down, before the route resumes? And it just feels like the writing is going 'yeah, you may be here, but this character really wants to bone this guy more' in that moment. Uh, okay? It feels extra unnecessary when those same characters are having their open relationship mentioned and elaborated upon in every single other route, too, so it happening even with Guy A's route felt like trying to throw strawberries on an overloaded cake - pardon the poor analogy. And hey, if they usually prefer men but the protagonist is the exception - then why isn't that the angle being elaborated upon within the writing itself? I'd have been more ok with that, too, but instead the game just keeps acting like almost everyone likes men and women relatively equally, but the demonstration is all men all the time (minus perhaps Milo) with the lady being an exception as she invades their lives. I did enjoy that there was the presence of men interested in each other in the game, I just felt the extent of it was a little odd for an otome and tried to elaborate on where that might be so others who might feel less enjoyment from the game can make an informed decision on it for themselves.

*Funnily enough, I am not including Nika and Maxim in this during their poly route - it truly felt like they were all equally invested in each other and the protagonist to me, but that's my take on it and other reviews clearly feel otherwise.

This was a perfectly sized piece of loveliness. A slice of amare/otome cake to be slowly enjoyed in one or two evenings. The voice acting was absolutely lovely, and I appreciated the way it was charming, humorous, and sad, yet I could still believe romance was forming (or present) one way or another with some of the endings.

If the creators/writers ever felt like creating a VN that takes place after the For Love ending, that would be so amazing...! Getting to play/see more adventures in Elias and the protagonist's adventures in ghost-and-living marriage, and what kind of troubles, hijinks, adorableness (and perhaps some spicy things) would have me throwing my money at it ASAP!

This is my bias, so I wish there was lots more with Elias Gallagher!!

The special scene that unlocks after getting all the endings was spicy and cute!!

Honestly, I thought this game was really fun. Both of the endings amused me and made me curious if they were intended for hopeful sequel bait, which I think would be cool to see since I'd love to see a sequel that builds on the formula they created here and improves it.

I love that this game brought what felt like a totally new, hilarious and sometimes surprising experiences! I enjoyed finding ridiculous ways to get extra points from different camera angles, etc., some of which were absolutely absurd. LOL.

I understand some people find the later gameplay loops a drag, but I personally only ever found the final day of each season a drag and wish there was a way to speed up the process of the dialogue before everyone hops into the slide!

I strongly recommend this game for the 2024 Sit Back and Relax Steam Award!

I'm not done playing the game yet, but I want to support the game already with this:
Yes, it needs some proofreading, but it still appears to be translated quite well and it hasn't impacted my ability to understand the scene at all. And I genuinely appreciate the careful inclusion of some of the vagueness in the writing that must have been in the original Japanese for certain parts as well.
I greatly appreciate the writing in this game; the characters are EXTREMELY interesting and I feel so much for the struggles Hidari has to go through.

I recommend this game for anyone looking for a fun adult otome, but please note there are no choices (or there have not been yet) as it appears to be a kinetic visual novel rather than the choice driven kind that usually get localized for otome players.

An absolutely darling VN. It's a free VN and not so short that it isn't an enjoyable amount of time with the cast. The world building is just enough to help with making us care about the characters and their world. I adored Lumi, Cethin and Reo, and enjoyed trying to figure out how to get all the scenes!

Part of me has a sneaking suspicion about Reo, however, based on some of the lore discussions in the game...! I hope one day we get an opportunity to see the game updated with a route for Reo, because I for one absolutely adore the butler character. Or maybe I just have a thing for butlers... Or both...

A delightful free VN. I found the whole game cute; running in blind was fun for each route! I enjoyed the bad ends, normal end and good ends, with the good ends always being the most enjoyable ending - as it should be. :) The voice acting was fitting for each character and helped endear them. I recommend this and hope to see more otomes from the creator(s)!

This was a delightful experience of a free VN. I enjoyed the music, the menu system, the UI style, the art, and the voice actor used for our male lead. I loved the little mystery and all the possible bad end decisions! It was a joy to play, and I hope to see more.

Unfortunately, now I might be into clowns. The clown in this game, anyway.
