Easily underrated. Crazy kills, insane weapons, Duke Nukem as optional playable character, surprisingly self-aware story that deconstructed itself...the only (arguably) bad thing about it is the strange mechanics (like space for sprinting and double space for slide), but if you can let it slide it's one of the most fun FPS ever.

Great soundtrack, great gameplay, overall a great experience. The only change that's not going to please everyone is that it went exactly the opposite direction in storytelling and art style; while 2016 Doom is a great minimalist industrial game, Eternal feel like a well-made adult cartoon.
