Ignore all the old school homeworld people who hate this game because it doesnt live up to their nostalgia.
Do not ignore everyone talking about bugs. I like this game but it is so buggy that i reccomend waiting a while and seeing if they have the capability to stick around and fix this mess. Could be great in 6 months with hella fixes.

Think World of Warships or World of Tanks in space. Team vs Team Fleet fights with a verity of different ships... Yeah thats the idea...

I would like to start off with mentioning, i have a ship which costs around 8 million, and i have been for at least 6 months now, and have yet to get tired of it. The most expensive ship, fully outfitted, can cost close to 1 billion creidts. That being said, i strongly suggest finding a player group. Yes the game can get reppettive, but simply talking with people in teamspeak can make 5 hours of trading on a saturday, extremly fun. a player group provides so many more things to do. i dont have a whole lot of time into this game and would say iv only tasted about 10 percent of this wonderfull production. Be warned, if you have a low end rig, say, 500 bucks or less, this will not run great and you just might become outraged at the game for being so demanding, but if you have the good Pc to run it, and a simple joystick, you would have been willing to spent triple what you did for what it gets you. A bad rig is not the games fault, its your fault. thats no reason for a bad review. dont be fooled, its made by one ofthe best teams out there, and for everyone yelling chris roberts, for every game he published, he stated that his insporation was almost entirely based off of the Elite games that were released a year or to prior it his. Welcome to the first series, the deticated fanbase, and the wonderful team who has created, Elite: Dangerous- I will continue; With so many things to do, such as pirating, trading exploring, hunting, scavenging, smuggling, and mining, completing missions for a desired faction, playing with friends to take down a pirate lord, and building a brand new outpost on the far reaches of known space, the opportunities are endless. I have played for over 250 hours and I still haven’t done a qaurter of the things it has to offer! New updates are being released every year, yes they cost money but with the content being released, it may as well be another game, and this plan is for the next ten years; with one per year you need muster $3.75 per month. You would need to play this for 500-1000 hours to get the right feel for it. Even though it may start off boring in the first 30 hours of playing, it’s worth the wait once you start to upgrade ships and play with other people. Opportunities are endless. Is it good- OH HELL YES!!! Fly safe Commanders.
