Early Access Review
I never write reviews, but for this game I have to.

If you're like me who's been playing farming sims since the original Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons series (first one came out when I was 8, I'm 32 now!!) then this game will hit that same vibe that you've been searching for. I've been wanting a farming sim that's new and gives me the same nostalgic feelings I get when I play HM or Stardew Valley. This is it friends. Look no further. Fields of Mistria does farming sim their own way, yet SOMEHOW it feels nostalgic. That's the best way to describe this game. Hardcore farm sim fans will love it.

I wish more people knew about this game. Let me start by saying that I've been playing the Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons franchise since Harvest moon for N64 and GBA came out. This game is a solid tribute to the orignal Harvest Moon. While I enjoy other Harvest Moon siblings like Rune Factory and Stardew Valley, this game has the cloest old school harvest Moon feel to it that I have come across so far (in my opinion, of course). I love the art style and pace of the game (in some farming games the days seem empty and boring, with no extra activities to do once the crop watering/animal care is done). When I first started playing this game, the days FLEW by. I had so much to do. I never skip days or go to bed early (because I'm too impatient) because there is ALWAYS something to do. Most days I end up going to bed by 8pm because I'm so busy. My only issue is that the computer controls are strange. I plugged in an exbox controller and just remapped the controls, and boom! Fixed. I would highly recommend this game to Harvest Moon fans.
