Good game - it's a unique, interesting experience with a fun story and progression as well as some interesting battles. Maybe the story is a tiiiiny bit on the nose but it's still definitely creative enough to be worth your time. Also a bit janky in places but I enjoyed it overall. The visuals, vibes and theme are fantastic. Do try it out!

What does it mean to be human? Is it our brains? our muscles? No... it is our unparalleled ability to overcome challenges and obstacles. THAT is the essence of pingpong.

There are five challengers to beat, each with escalating difficulty, some with their own unique tricks and unique abilities. I only managed to beat all of them including the fifth and final one "so quickly" because I played a ton of the demo (which I spent maybe 8 hours on) and maybe because I played the game a bit while invisible on Steam, but the journey is grueling indeed. I used my trusty keyboard and had a good time, but I hear some players might prefer controllers.

Overall, I really recommend this game, it's going to push you to the limit in terms of reaction and coordination - most people can beat it, but it will take effort and perseverance. A fair price for winning the pingpong championship.

It's very polished and challenging - which feels very worth it for the price. And even if you manage to beat all five champions (which is, again, very tough) you can still try to beat them again with a perfect 5-0 score or attempt the even more difficult championship mode. Grab it if you feel like you want to feel the reward of overcoming tough challenges, you'll enjoy it.

Let me tell you the story of Aleph.
Aleph started as young and ambitious hero, questing around the realm with powerful units under his command, making allies in many lands, and gaining influence. He was always a bit reckless, and quick to, lets say, throw his companions into the kiln to see if they will break, yet successful and popular hero nonetheless, and through riches and starvation he and his troupe persevered.

However, in one of his journeys, a fiendish adviser suggested Aleph try and capture an allied city with an absent ruler. Heading the call according to his warlike nature, Aleph captured the city with ease, and a couple other cities have declared war upon him in return.
Little did Aleph know that this was the beginning of the end.

But at first, it was not so bad. He captured its twin city, and a short ceasefire was declared.
Aleph continued questing, and one by one, he lost his companions.
Greedily haunting in catacombs, he got to the last floor, only to encounter an unfathomable evil, and lose his friend the priest.
He lost more in battles throughout the realm. And meanwhile, his old allies turned enemies continue scheming...
Mourning the loss of his companions, Aleph turned to drinking and gambling, and by chance reunites with an old companion he cast away, as well as a new friend, a gambler -
- only to lose them both when war broke out again in earnest, as well as his best men.
Aleph was a wreck, and more left and deserted his army.

Moreoever, the city he worked so hard to defend saw him an absent ruler, and decided to elect another ruler instead, one who might bring peace to their lives.
Thus Aleph finds himself banging on the castle gates, begging to be let in only to be dragged away due to being "an obscure personage", with the new ruler holding the feast that Aleph has worked so hard to finance and organize.

A broken man, Aleph now rules one city. Hated by all with the entire realm united against him, and his army in tatters.

(Edit: This eventually became my first win - Aleph capturing cities slowly after grinding monsters and building his army, and reconnecting with old companions as well as meeting new ones).

And that is just one story out of many that might be told in the exile realms. Play it, it's a good story generator.
It does have flaws (which are numerous, like some rare quests that you are locked out of completing or are nearly impossible, enemies being able to declare war while you are bound to their whims, etc), but the core gameplay can make for some exciting stories and encounters, and no two playthroughs feel entirely the same.

Fantastic deckbuilder, one of my favorites. Been playing it since it released a few days ago.

At first glance having three characters with their own decks seems a bit weird or daunting, but when you actually play it's anything but. If anything, the game does really well when you have three different decks covering different needs (defense, damage, and utility) - but you can choose multiple operators of one type if you wish.
The starter decks for each operator are 16 cards each and kind of themed (also duplicates of many cards, some shared basic cards) so they're comfortable to approach.

I think where this game shines is the different operators and "relics" you get - which can make for really overpowered and exciting combos. There's nothing that feels as rewarding as raining down a ton of orbital strikes on a tough enemy or slowly picking your enemies apart with throwing knives.

Also the theme and worldbuilding is fantastic and very enjoyable. Relics? I think you mean "Harvested Organs" or "Pristine Augments". These little details and the animated bossfight add a lot to the game.

I think this game falls short when you have some matchups that are not fantastic to your crew - like fighting those exploding enemies that require block at Jinushi airport when you have a loadout that doesn't have that much block - it's not the worst though, just a minor annoyance. Maybe a fix to that would be letting you see which enemies will appear when you hover over an adjacent combat encounter.

Also some draws of the beginner decks for certain operators can be not fantastic - if you have a first draw with two eidetic memory cards with Aleph, that's basically a dead draw - you'll be stuck with those two cards in hand. I'm not sure how to fix this one, perhaps giving eidetic memory a small buff (like giving you +1 aim if there's no cards in the repo?) or letting you draw again if your starting hand is awkward.

Overall though, it's a fantastic game. I've been doing run after run and slowly climbing the corporate ladder - can highly recommend trying it out.

It's good.

Beat it as an Assassin (Alchemist, Knight) for the first time now, can see myself coming back to it.

Yeah there's some translation issues and whatever (had Spanish text on one of the skills lol), but for the most part the game is understandable, and the team behind the game seems to be turbo-updating it today so I'd imagine they're fixing stuff.
And yeah some mechanics are very unclear at first.

But overall, it's cheap and has fun combos and broken builds, so easily a recommendation from me

Instant classic of the genre, and a ton of fun when your team+deck finally pop off and defeat everything in their path >:D

Project Malice is the dungeon-crawling action roguelike your mom warned you about!
Been really enjoying this gem the last few days - Initially after getting it I struggled with controls on mouse & keyboard but please don't let that dissuade you from this great game, because once you figure out how things work 10 minutes in, you're going to be jumping around, shooting, weapon-switching and parrying like a badass. Regarding controls, I play on PC so it's shooting with mouse left click, rotating with middle click and pressing double+shift to run, vital and handy mechanics.

So what is this game about? Project Malice is a true indie game filled with charm and personality - you go through procedural levels trying to advance further, kill enemies and get to the end.
But it's not just about getting kills, it's about jumping, parrying, taunting enemies and looking stylish while doing it! characters also feel unique and memorable with their own unique lines, and there's some allies you can find in the dungeon which are a lot of fun too - it's always slime time!

Speaking of characters, each playable character actually feels and plays different - with the first two characters, one is a stylish and quick fencer, while the other has a bat. The former has quick instant charge attacks while the latter requires you to hold down your attack button and run up to enemies, and is weak otherwise - which really feels fitting for using a bat.
Moreover, this is a game that's not afraid to be fun - want a character with infinite ammo and health-on-kill? sure, just don't expect to get healed by normal means too.

Overall, really promising and unique action roguelike. Big recommend!

Have you ever fantasized about being a teleporting, spear-wielding, astro-assassin which deals massive one-shot damage? or an extremely armored, slow warrior who tanks all damage and freezes those who dare attack him? or a summoner who spam-spawns massive waves of allies that cover the entire screen every time he prays to a strange, lovecraftian bronze-age god?
Well, probably not.
But after buying this game you'll realize that this was a need you always had, but never knew about.

Path of Achra is a build-focused "sandbox" roguelite where you embark on a long journey beyond the edge of a flooding world.
After getting the hang of it, you try to theorycraft builds every time you play.
And in Path of Achra, each build is a dream, of sorts.
You go: "What if I made a warrior that attacks five times per turn?" or "what if I made a wizard who wins by staying in place and teleporting?"
It's a long shot at trying to get to the top, of winning. A hope.

However, most dreams fail.
Cut down by a simple hobgoblin, perished by a Drake or a Ruk (mythical Eagle creature) or some kind of horror from beyond the void.

But in failure, they shine. Brighter than any star. And when you do succeed and beat the game in some unlikely run, it feels extremely well earned.
And then the game gets tougher (edit: if you choose so).

In summery: 10/10 recommended, especially if you dig traditional roguelikes and tough broken build simulators.
