Early Access Review
Today the game was announced to soon be complete. Everyone knows that this game has been through development hell and dev communication has been spotty especially with regards to the community. When this game is brought to version 1.0 and released as the "complete game", it will still not be complete. Features will be missing and have been promised for late 2025 which will (as we've already seen) likely extend into another decade. This game is fun to some, but extremely boring for others. I can't get anyone to play this incomplete mess of an alpha and I'm the only one I know who comes even close to enjoying it. Screw this game.

I can't recommend this game. As much as I love detective games and puzzles, the amount of work that is needed to make this game run and run well is annoying and frustrating. The world is empty and boring giving almost no reason to explore. The cases are varied and interesting but offer little replay. Much of the game is incredible, what there is is amazing and I would recommend this game in a heartbeat if it was still supported or in a playable state...but it isn't. It's such a shame that so much work was put in by a clearly talented team only for the leads at Team Bondi to ♥♥♥♥ the bed. What a waste.

I don't know what happened to this game since I last played it but it's become so glitchy it's not worth playing. On top of that, it had to download Epic's online bs to my computer. Thanks Deep Silver but please stop mutilating the bloated corpse of a series I used to really love.

♥♥♥♥ Rockstar for having the gall to pull this version off the steam store. I've spent countless hours playing this game on other devices and it's absolutely heartbreaking to see what they did to such a brilliant game. Games deserve to be preserved, greedy Rockstar Games executives should be ashamed of themselves.

It feels like this should be one of the better heist games on Steam but this game's controls, pathfinding, and constant crashing make me remember why I hate this game so much every time I boot it up. There's so much good in this game buried under a pile of ♥♥♥♥. If only the devs cared.

Ideally, a remake should strive to be the superior way to play a game. This is very not that. There's a lot of mechanics missing, level design choices that are necessary that were forgotten about. There's a lot of bugs and glitches that make the game less fun than the original and more frustrating. I loved this game as a kid, played it constantly after I got my gamecube when I was about 4 or 5. The graphics for this are good, there's a lot here graphic-wise that they do better than the original. But otherwise this feels like it was slapped together in Unity by someone who was making a game for the first time.

The game is pretty good, but I won't recommend until they fix the glitch preventing me from playing multiverse (which has been in the game since its release).

Wolfenstein: Youngblood both works and doesn't work at the same time. All at once, I see a game that was rushed, gimmicky, and a bit cringy, and the weird thing is that I also kinda like it.

This game has been reviewed to death by people who played the game and either got annoyed with some fairly common gimmick from co-op shooters (enemy health bars, DPS, xp, etc.) or shut the game down because they hated the cringy elevator sequences and lack of depth. Nothing happens in this game that couldn't be in Wolfenstein 3, the stuff that actually advances the story is told and not seen. This stuff is disappointing to people who love the Wolfenstein story and I don't blame them.

That being said, the game kinda works. It's a $27 dollar, co-op version of the bit of Wolfenstein 2 you could play after the credits rolled. This problem makes it repetitive. Claustrophobic and intimidating linear sections with tension-filled shooting ranges and gruesome, tactful stealth are what has made "The New" series of Wolfenstein games, and Youngblood can only provide those during actual levels. There are only about 6 of these, and that's something else that's frustrating for people who enjoy the series.

All of this is true, but it's also a high-quality, co-op, shooting game that you can get from $11-$27. It's fun to shoot things with your friends, that's just a fact. Being able to experience those tense moments with friends isn't something easily done and I think they made a genuine attempt here and they priced it correctly. This is not an $80 Wolfenstein game, it feels like a cheap beta for some gimmicks that could be really great if properly developed, and the price reflects that. I played it with a friend, I had a whole lot of fun doing so. I loved the Blazkowicz sisters at the start and grew tired of them, I complained like many of the other reviewers did, I still had fun. I hated the repetition and backtracking, but I still had fun. If you want to play a good co-op shooter for cheap, I do recommend this. If you want to play the next chapter in the Wolfenstein series, I don't recommend this.

I beat the game in 6.9 hours, it could probably be (casually) done faster but there's also a lot of side content that I haven't finished. Whether this game deserves the hate it gets is 100% a matter of opinion, but I personally had fun.

Early Access Review
I actually had a friend buy this for me a while ago thinking this would make a great replacement for Phasmophobia. Thankfully we both refunded it before it was too late.

The AI for Bigfoot was braindead, it got stuck on a rock and we killed it with our basic spawn weapons when we realized that it had no clue how to attack us. The environment was actually terrifying so when we got to this idiotic monkey-looking mf sitting in a cave doing nothing it just killed the half hour we'd spent scared about how we were all gonna be brutally murdered in the night. We had no idea what to do and then suddenly the game was over.

Plus, all the connectivity issues and bad UI you'd expect from an early access game.

This game was made by monkeys.

Sidenote: Read some of the stuff written by other people who bought this, it's pretty bad if it's true.

Besides the annoying DRM and the micro-transactions (that should never be in any paid game, seriously WTF), the game is just kinda...fine. It's pretty repetitive and really isn't worth finishing IMO but the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ending is why I can't recommend this game.

Now don't get me wrong, the gunplay is good. It's pretty fun to just be a freaking meat-tank with adamantium skin and mow down the entire population of Montana. But between getting constantly kidnapped with no chance of escape any time there NEEDS to be a cutscene , the lack of a cohesive storyline, the nonsense ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ending (regardless of your nearly non-existent choices) and the boring silent protagonist who's just kinda...there, I can't recommend anyone buy this over Far Cry 3. Having now finished the game in 28 hrs, I can't help but feel disappointed ( SERIOUSLY, YOU DON'T EVEN GET TO KILL THE BIG BAD IN THIS ONE ). For an $80 game, expect more story, less micro-transactions.
