Nothing particularly innovative here. But an otherwise solid 5-6h metroidvania.
Decent pickup at discount to fill a metroidvania craving.

The art is very good and cohesive, soundtrack works well but I can't point at one song that's particularly memorable.
Difficulty wise, fairly easy to any veteran of the metroidvania genre on Normal. If you're wanting an immediate challenge, there's a password to unlock the higher difficulty immediately (NIGHTMARE777).

There IS a very well featured randomizer mod (TSRandomizer) that I highly recommend if you want a easily accessible rando with tons of options, and it supports the Archipelago multi-world framework for mass randomizer madness. Would highly recommend if you're interested in Randomizers and enjoy Metroidvania games.

It don't matter if you can:

Punch bears with your bare fists, while stark naked.
Blow up entire dungeons with a single mutter of magic.
Climb mountains faster than flying creatures.
Swim faster than the fastest fish.
Unlock the stongest vault in the world.
Run as fast as humanly possible.
Find weapons blessed by the gods themselves.
Beat to death the Demon Lord with a wooden stick.
Or even walk to the ends of the world its self.

The Darkness will always be to the left, and it will always be hungry.
