One of the best (and most difficult) platform games. Metroidvania goodness, amazing art, memorable bosses, and deep lore to discover if you want.

Give it an hour and you'll be hooked.

Have not finished it yet, so not sure if it's worth playing the whole way through, but it's definitely worth playing.

Lots written about the game already, so won't leave a long review, but if I were to compare it to the developer's previous games Control ranks just as highly.

Just getting started in the game, and I've already enjoyed it a ton. Got it as a gift but would happily have paid full price for it.

Started playing after patch 1.06 was dropped, so that may have helped. Any bugs I'm encountering are only slightly immersion breaking instead of game breaking.

I didn't know I wanted to play System Shock 2 again until I played Prey. Itch scratched.

I understand that the developers are working on an update, but it's been over a year since anything has been released, and it's now 8 months late (originally announced as a December 2013 patch).

I can only assume the project is completely abandoned, and the developers have left early adopters with a sub-par product to play with.

In its current state, the inventory management and other key gameplay elements are buggy - it's really not worth putting up with the interface to try and have any fun in the game world.

Do not purchase until an update is released and new reviews are posted.

An addictive action game with a surreal atmosphere and intentionally nauseating and dissorienting effects.

The horribly violent action is continuosly book-ended by mundane, repetitive every day tasks - renting a movie, buying groceries - which heightens the desire to get back into the "game" and start murdering bad guys.

But are they really bad guys? Who are you, really?

Not for the feint of heart, or for those who dislike a challenge. Highly recommended.

The story loses momentum half way through, but the emergent gameplay you can experience while liberating outposts is addicting.

Best gunplay I've experienced in quite some time, and though the graphics aren't consistently amazing they work.
