The way in which this game went from a damn near 10/10 to solid 5/10 in the span of 4 minutes is actually hilarious. Still a good game though, would play again.

Nearly everything Fromsoft has put their hands on since Demon souls has been a masterpiece (even DS2). Elden Ring is no exception. Play this game.

By the end, I wasn't sure if I was crying because of the bosses, or if I was crying for the bosses.

Early Access Review
Great game so far, especially for those looking for a tactical co-op shooter where team work and communication are essential. Sound, visuals, map design are all great, but seeing as how this is early access, I want to leave some criticism here as well so that they can hopefully be fixed in the future.

- I know that Void has already acknowledged the criticisms in regards to the voice acting. This game takes itself very seriously and covers a lot of grim subject matters so having a woman scream "my mom has a mexican maid...You might know her :3" or "Ooooh I like your tattoos" is pretty immersion breaking. The Voice performance could use some work, even from the main officer as it feels like he's sternly telling his son to put his hands up rather than criminals to surrender.

- There's a lack of clarity in regards to the end of the missions, mainly when you are tracking down that one last suspect or civilian. They will sometimes be behind a door you just missed, or may have just forgot to officially report it. Maybe if there was a way to narrow down areas that you haven't completely searched yet with a map, or maybe the last few suspects and or civilians come to you? If you could ask the detained suspects/civilians about the locations of other people that might help?

- This last part only applies to single player, but if there was a way to give a command to a single officer I think that would greatly benefit the AI experience. I like to run only one officer with a shield but they won't consistently take point. Especially if I'm going down a hallway where I'm not sure where enemies are, I really want the shield to lead the way but as it is right now, it depends on which of the two on the specific red or blue teams decides to stroll in first, making it so that the shield is in the very back. I guess the work around is to have a team with 2 shields but I like to individually kit each officer to do specific actions.

As of now, this game is great and deserves the praise it is getting. For anyone that likes tactical coop shooters or even just likes the SWAT series of games, this is a must buy.

I wanted to like this game more than anything. I've played every battlefield since bad company 2 and this has to be the single biggest disappointment for the series. Fundamentally, there is a fun game in here - it's just buried under an avalanche of performance issues, bugs, bad net code, poor tick rate, lack of team play, poor map design etc. For example, on breakthrough, someone thought it was a good idea to have 128 players fight for a single point on top of a roof. half of the maps lack any cover causing you to just get sniped while moving to each objective. the SVK and the PP-19 are absolutely ridiculous (the SVK in particular as it can 2 shot at most ranges). Portal is fun but still suffers from a poor optimization and a lack of maps/ good server browser. I wouldn't even mind specialists that much if they reworked a lot of them, making them feel more like the traditional class system. I'm sure in a year this game will be "good" but it's unacceptable that we've let dice (more accurately EA) release unfinished products just for them to fix it later.

Once you have beaten Nier Replicant, you'll begin to understand why the narrative is held in such high regard, The presentation is spectacular with gorgeous art design, one of the best soundtracks in a game ever, the characters are likable and believable and the writing has a lot of punch to it. But I can't help like I've played better before - mainly its sequel Nier Automata (and probably Undertale). But I think it's important to recognize how this was one of the first "successful" (didn't really sell well but it earned itself a cult following) games to truly use the medium of video games to get a reaction out of the player. In this sense, Replicant is a must play for anyone who appreciates storytelling in video games, but temper your expectations to a reasonable level (play automata right after this if you really like this games narrative, its also fantastic).

quick notes about the gameplay, it was incredibly difficult to slog my way through as it is very repetitive and tedious. In order to truly beat the game, you have to beat the 2nd half a total of 3 times. The 2nd time is fine but the 3rd made me want to quit playing (I'm glad I didn't though). Despite Platinum's efforts to polish the combat, it still isn't as technichal and fun as Automata's

pc port sucks huge donkey ballz.

On a real note, the game is pretty fun. The controls are a little janky on both M+K and gamepad but that was expected considering it was released 11 years ago. The missions start pretty dull and are paced really poorly but this problem goes away as the game goes on and the missions are well worth your while. It's a blast with friends, just not on PC. Games for Windows Live is an abomination that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. You're better off digging up your PS3.
