Game is fantastic spin on deckbuilding. Got some really fresh ideas and I love the fact it's available on phone. Sits right next to Slay the Spire on my phone and play both often. Go get it!

Early Access Review
Fantastic combination of city builder, roguelite (metaprogression) and production chain management. Feels all the better as games are fast paced and end just before it gets boring, whereas traditional strategies would have you grind it out.

Really can't recommend enough. The replayability is crazy good. I have only 70h in during the Early Access and I know I'll be coming back for many more years.

Several thousand review with 58% (at the moment of writing) tell us 2 things basically.

A) Game was not released in a satisfactory condition and should have been either postponed or released as Early Access before ironing out most flaws
B) Game itself is very popular since so many people bought it within week of release. Probably due to FTK1 success

My 2 cents. Game seems to run just fine without any crashes/bugs for me (!) so I have no issue leaving a positive review as I think this will be a great game once patched. Several new mechanics (tactical map, etc.) are working fine and will provide more depth to gameplay. UI needs some work, but that should be done with pretty soon with all the (justified) negative feedback.

I hope IronOak will learn their lesson and I also hope they won't be too disheartened by the negativity. I think the game will ultimately make them proud and fans happy.

And yes, I'm a bit of a fanboy as I loved FTK1 solo and coop. Can't wait to jump into this one with friends.

Very good writing. Hits many many scifi tropes, but doesn't feel shallow at all. Everything is connected, everything matters. I'm in awe :)

Nice mix of storytelling, rpg and strategy set in a world inspired by Slavic myths. UI is wonky and might be microheavy depending on your playstyle, but otherwise it's a gem!

I can recommend this game and do so without any regrets. Friendly F2P model, growing and helpful community + sizeable library of cards allowing for full spectrum of decks.

I come from MtG background and can say this game finally scratched my card game itch. Most others couldn't.

I guess lot of the people that gave bad review are playing nevertheless, because it is addictive. Of course, there are some bugs, that need fixing and also a ton of balancing, but that should have been expected.

Nowadays it takes 2 days for the game to be completed by hundreds of people and they WILL put all the info on the internet. So it takes you a lot shorter timeframe to learn "all the tricks". So it's easy to say that some strategy is OP, or something is broken. Give it some time. We all provide feedback and it will be improved. A lot !

I for one am very satisfied with CivBE. Once you start to dig deeper and try to streamline you research and build orders, you realize how many possibilities there are. Do I go for generator/terrascape economy, or farm/manufactory, or even biowell/manufactory ? Which satelites do I want to use ?

For me it gives the good old comfy TBS feel I wanted. After couple of patches and even expansions we might expect a jewel. I recommend buying. And if not, do yourself a favour a put it on you follow/wishlist and wait for improvements/sales. You won't regret. Got almost 100 hours by now and expecting to multiply it a lot as patches roll out.
