This review is specifically for the campaign without War of the Chosen.

This game is a challenging and rewarding experience, even seven years later! XCOM 2 is tougher than XCOM: Enemy Unknown or Enemy Within, and you're going to learn that very fast, even on veteran difficulty. There's a much wider variety of enemies, some of which are much more resilient and irritating than others. It certainly isn't as difficult as the original Xcom games, but it's not far behind.

I found the story to be very interesting and intriguing as well, although I found the ending to be a bit inconclusive. Also, be aware that the final level is RAGE INDUCING, especially if you've been on the grind and rushing to figure out how the plot ends. After struggling that much on Veteran difficulty, I can guarantee you that I probably won't consider replaying on a higher difficulty anytime soon. I need a break from this addictive, but rage inducing game.

For those who think "tl;dr," the gameplay really makes you feel like you're in a cop film. Great game overall, but beware of launch issues, which can be fixed by looking up a few guides.

I definitely love this game. It's a shame there aren't other similar titles like this. It really is one-of-a-kind. You play as a detective solving crimes in 1940's LA. You try to solve cases ranging from gruesome homicides, breaking up vice rings, and investigating the dark side of Hollywood. They did a great job at making the setting feel authentic, like the soundtrack, for example. The game's plot has twists and turns as well. Definitely worth a try.

However, people have had problems with launching the game. Not all of these launch issues are the same, but there are guides on the game's community hub which you can use to get the game working.

Another problem is that this game is capped at 30 FPS. There are guides to fix that, but I prefer not to try anything with that, as that can cause some in-game problems, like suspects getting run over by cars in a foot chase, which causes your mission to fail.

Early Access Review
Bannerlord took what made Warband great and added more in its new sequel! However, it is still early access, and there are issues that still need to be fixed. Read on for more...

The good:

-Just about everything you could do in Warband you can do here. Not much explaining if you're familiar with Mount and Blade. Roam around the map, recruit people into your army, run errands for village elders or lords. Become a mercenary, join a kingdom, you get the idea...

-New content on this game includes: new factions, epic sieges, massive battles, to name a few.

-Multiplayer gameplay is a blast to play! There's a game mode called Captain, where you and other players command their own individual soldiers in a battle against the other team, for example.

-Your companions can now command their own armies, and you can have them fight with you against the enemy in battle! Your clan has to be at a certain level, though.

The bad:

-The game will sometimes crash unexpectedly. This used to happen more often, but the devs managed make some improvements. It still happens from time to time, though.

-Sometimes there are very annoying graphical glitches on this game. For example, there were times where my screen would turn black in a battle. There was another time where my allied nobles turned into blobs of pixels, which was really weird, to say the least...

-One of the most annoying things on this game is the AI's terrible pathfinding during siege battles, and I've only seen this happen to the player. For example, if you're commanding a siege, there may be times where you troops will be breaking down the enemy gates with a battering ram, only to stand idle for a long time after the gates have fallen. If your troops are using ladders or siege towers, they may also stand idle, or even move to another piece of siege equipment for no reason at all.

Also, you can't directly order your troops in siege battles. It's better to let them do their own thing. Here's the reason why: Ordering your troops in a siege battle can cause them to needlessly abandon their siege equipment and move somewhere else.

And these are just a few of the issues I've mentioned. However, the game is still stable, and for the most part I'm very happy with this game's content. Some of these bugs can be avoided. Others have been mostly, but not entirely, fixed.

If you're looking for a game featuring brutal, first person melee combat, then Mordhau is the game for you! Don't bother listening to the whiny, thin-skinned snowflakes who get upset by somebody's edgy jokes and remarks. This is a competitive game, and you can't expect people to act like well-mannered English nobles. "Toxic" behavior can be found on any competitive multiplayer game. The only other people who unfairly criticize this game are the die-hard, lonely Chivalry fanboys who are upset that Mordhau made their precious game irrelevant.

On to the game itself....

The good:

-Melee combat is brutal, gory, but also technical. There are so many different weapons and different ways to use them.

-You can play as an archer, if you want to. It can be just as fun as melee.

-Lots of customization. You can buy new gear with in-game currency, and you can customize it to your liking. Heck, even your character's voice is changeable!

The bad:

-While this game has fairly good balance, some weapons, like the rapier, are NOT very balanced.

-There's a lack of maps on this game.

Overall, it's worth it. Go ahead and buy it!

Before I begin, let me compare this game to the Red Dead series.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is like an upscale restaraunt. You have to wait to enjoy it. Just like chefs and cooks take their time to prepare the food, you have to wait a long time for the game to FREAKING DOWNLOAD and then enjoy :)

Call of Juarez is like a fast food restaurant. Sure, you might not get your bread with some nice dip on the side, or your gourmet steak, but you still get something good without all the waiting. Call of Juarez may not have an open world, and you may not be able to criticize Uncle for having lumbago, BUT HEY, YEW GET TO LIGHT UP THEM GOOD-FER-NOTHIN' OUTLAWS!

What I'm trying to say is that it's a fun shooter.

I only recommended this game because you'll probably find it slightly enjoyable. However, I did like the game's universe and environments. To describe this game briefly, you play as a rabbit with kung fu skills. You have to fight different animals, who happen to have kung fu skills of their own, because you're trying to save your friends from slavery. That's the main plot.

There are other stories in the game, too, none of which I found as interesting. Anyways, I shall now describe this game in detail:

This game is an action platformer. Unfortunately, the game is quite weak on the platforming. Movement and animation is not too smooth. The action is fun, though. There's a lot of crazy moves you can use. What I did enjoy most was the game's soundtrack and environments. The game's universe is such a creative world, and there was great potential to add more exploration. The game is linear as well, but I think an open-world setting would've been far more suitable. You've got jungles, snowy mountains, villages, deserts, things like that.

The story was interesting but weak. They should've worked on more details. There was potential to add more to this game, but it wasn't done.

In summary, you'll find it to be enjoyable. You'll like the combat and the environments, but the gameplay and story are both limited.

WARNING: Word has spread that this game's multiplayer has big hacking problem. And no, I'm not just talking about losers using things like wall hacks and aimbot, but people actually using lobbies to install malware on your PC. I found this out on this game's community thread title "RCE Exploits are Back." It's your final decision, but you're taking a risk if you decide to play on multiplayer.

Okay, since that's out of the way, this game does have great singleplayer. The campaign is great fun. Nothing much to say about an old school CoD game, since just about everyone knows what to expect from CoD, but it's definitely a lot better than what Activision puts out now. Shoot your gun, throw grenades, what more could you ask for?

As for my brief experience with multiplayer, it would be great if it wasn't filled with hackers and pathetic losers who own modded lobbies. I've seen people using aimbot, wallhacks, or both, and no action is taken against them. Then you've got pathetic, sore losers who have modded lobbies and design them so that everyone has the same gun except them. A lot of lobby owners rig their mod so only they get to pick their own weapons and builds. If you think that wasn't bad enough, then get this; they also hijack online traffic so that anyone in matchmaking ends up stuck in their garbage lobby.

Get this game for singleplayer. Multiplayer is unsafe, and it's also garbage. If it wasn't filled with pathetic hackers then it'd be great.

A lot of old school CoD fans love this game, and it's easy to see why. The campaign is a blast and, surprisingly, multiplayer is still active!

The campaign is great, and if you want a challenge, then the highest difficulty level will give you that. There's also a great variety of weapons you can use. Also, the campaign's map designs are well done, and each map will provide you with challenges while you're in a firefight, such as looking for cover.

Aside from that, the story is mediocre, but that's a good thing. After all, this is a game where you want to jump in and have fun instead of overly long cutscenes. You see the war from two different perspectives; a Marine fighting in the Pacific, and a Soviet soldier on the Eastern Front. Enough said.

There's also a zombies mode, so you can have mindless fun gunning down brainless hordes of the Undead. As for regular multiplayer, there's quite a few servers online, but sadly a lot of them are modded servers with lame rules or features. For example, the lobbies you join will have dumb things like a zero gravity mod or "crouch only" rules. You can still find some normal, unmodded servers though.

If there's one thing I don't like, it's the fact that the campaign is just... typical of so many WW2-themed shooters. It's either playing as the Russians or the Americans. There are so many more fronts and countries that were are part of World War II. There was intense fighting in places like China, the Philippines, and Finland, for example, and I think it's a lazy move on part of game developers to just include the USA or the Soviets without giving thought about anything else.

But otherwise, that doesn't take away from this title's great gameplay. Don't hesitate to buy it!

It's a really fun game! I remember first playing this game in 2009. Not knowing much about graphics at the time, I assumed it was released during that year or in 2008, judging by its visuals. Honestly, for a game that was released in 2005, it looks impressive.

But of course, we also want a game to be fun, not just a visually appealing waste of time. Chaos Theory definitely is a fun stealth game as well. There is more than one way for you to approach a situation, whether it's hacking terminals, sneaking past enemies, or eliminating enemies altogether. The game encourages you to be 100% stealthy, preferably with no casualties at all, unless they're objectives that must be completed to advance through the story. But still, if you feel like it, then you can have fun engaging the bad guys in combat.

The story line is interesting, but nothing unique or outstanding. The voice actors, however, do a great job, especially Michael Ironside, who played Sam Fisher in this title. There are also humorous moments in this game when you interrogate enemy guards.

If there is something I don't like about this game, however, it's the lack of animations and a strange glitch with the "air foil round," which is a piece of non-lethal ammo you use in this game.

Character animations seem very strange and unresponsive at times. You can't really tell if you caused any significant damage against enemies with your guns because they rarely ever flinch when they get hit, and hit detection doesn't work right. As for the air foil round glitch, it is a stealth weapon that is supposed to be silent, but yet there will be times when enemy guards react to it as if you were firing a live round, which alerts every single one of them.

Aside from that, the game is great!

Some say Doom 1 and 2 (from the '90s, not current gen) are better than Quake. I say Quake is just as good as the original Doom games.

id Software has this strange obsession with creating plots involving research on teleportation to different dimensions, which are inhabited by horrific monstrosities such as aliens and demons. It definitely works great for the atmosphere they went for in their games.

Quake naturally follows that same concept. The gameplay is very similar to Doom 1 and 2, but the aesthetics are quite different. While Doom's aesthetic settings involve advanced, technological environments coupled with blood-colored, warped ones, Quake has a very dark, medieval, dungeon-like style. I've found the many enemies you encounter on Quake to be very interesting enemies to fight as well, so there's that.

Want a nice oldschool game from the past? Already played oldschool Doom? Try Quake. You might like it.
