Early Access Review
What can I say about Selaco that hasn't already been said? Probably absolutely nothing. I've been sitting on this since I first tasted it the day of early access release. I heard along time ago that this was going to be a thing. I saw videos an to be specific I remember watching Civie11 talking about it on youtube.

I went in with high expectations an was absolutely floored. The bar I admit, wasn't high. Gaming in general had taken a decline in recent times with alot of games, an there are alot of gems out there as well. But nothing in the single player focused shooter genre, just more COD, COD clones, an other ♥♥♥♥. Nothing ground breaking an or even just refined to such a level of detail. That is until this game landed in my lap...

What can I say? 10/10. Nothing I need to specifically point out....

But that wouldn't be fair would it? Fine, I can find one thing I dislike about the game. Spoiler warning for those who actually read these. There is a point ahead of time, in the game. Within the first chapter of this early access point. It is not a particularly bad set an level. Not at all. It has some nice puzzles, alot of loving caring detail, an its even somewhat a very pretty level. However. That one level does show a glaring issue.

Melee combat. Don't get me wrong its obvious this game wasn't built with melee specifically in mind. Which is why this level is at worst. An annoyance. Hordes of melee specific enemies that are just tankie enough to be a problem. Or at least they were, I admit I do not know if anything will change from the time of me finally putting my thoughts to 'paper' as it were.

Now, beyond that? Perfect. This game is a shining beacon, to what a single player shooter experience, could be. Hell I'd argue its a borderline sim game just by the level of interactivity within the levels alone. Granted that sim game would specifically be focused on what is damn near the most super soldier femme fatale I've ever seen in gaming.

An now I'm also going to praise this game for 2 big things that, some people might not agree with. First up! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, GZDoom. Ages ago when it was first talked about. I had no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue it was gonna be on GZDoom. I hadn't a nary a thought or guess or even inkling, it'd be on GZDoom....If these developers can do something like this, on that. That's impressive. Honestly I hope with all my heart, that after they finish this game, they go on to make more glorious powerful games. An when I say powerful, I don't mean pretty, or shiney, or some interesting whatever. No I mean, in the full of it. From story, to even graphics which are while simple as it is obvious of the engine. (If we're being honest they're not simple on GZDoom if anything the fact that this is using that engine, no matter how tweaked to high hell, is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ testiment to peoples skills.) I mean, very fully. The whole game. Is POWERFUL. In the soul of it if nothing else.

As for the second piece. This is the one that some people will find either minor or even if you're apart of that crowd, controversial.

That being? Simple. Mods. This game, on this engine, despite being as hyper ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tweaked as it is. Supports mods. The developers, as far as I can tell from all I've read, seen, an played. Support modding of it. The fact that it has its own workshop is more than enough proof.

This game, an its developers. Are a shiny example of what gaming is all about in its fullest. Its about fun, proper challenge, learning even. Its about developing skills be they in game or simply for making something for a game. It is a mountain of potential that has paid off. An for 25 bucks? Really? I'd pay 70- Hell this is probably one of the only games that I will fully admit. I'd probably pay more.

Not because they're is a cause to. I won't get anything more than the game for it obviously but the game itself. But because, this game, an its team, have pulled off what I long thought was a dead art by this point from all the misses we've had with recent titles. If anything this game gives me pride an gives me hope for the future of other games. An I completely believe this game, this game alone, makes the vast majority of those big name titles an companies, look like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke.

This game has brought such a powerful message, be it intended or not. An its a message I can absolutely get behind. This is a game, made by gamers, for gamers. This is that missing magic that alot of older, an even some younger crowds missed. I proudly admit this team has become one of my all time favorites, an I will continue to watch out for anything from them with all due patients, respect, an excitement. As they have proven, they deserve it. I may only have 15 hours in. But before this is over, this will probably double if not triple. An I don't regret a single second of it.

TLDR. Buy this game, play it for yourself. If you don't like it. Fine, refund it. Though, I believe that would speak more to your taste in your prefer'd genre of games, over the fact that the game isn't for you as a person. An even if you do refund it. I would ask you to take a moment though an actually look at the level of compassion an care done by this team to a game like this an compare it to the others. Because, in my full honest opinion. This game, isn't just game of the year, this is probably going to be one of those games, that will sit in some peoples libraries installed, for as long as they can stand it.

This game is an absolute gem. An I will never regret spending the money on it that I did. I don't think you will either.

Okay, this game is great, how do I know seeing how I only unlocked 2 achvements? Well, let me explain, I have this game for PS3 AND PC. The PC one was just to have fun with, ♥♥♥♥ around and other things. So yeah, go ahead say somethin' that's my counter. For the PS3 though, that's a WHOLE different story. I've played it every which way and out. From Joining the NCR to being a Wild Card, to even just saying screw the story and do everything else. Let us move on, I'd recommend this game to anyone who loves the fallout series for a few reasons. Reason #1:This setup for compainions, crafting and everything else has just been boosted sense 3 and before. It's a great way to build things, reload ammo which is part of reasons later on, and because the companinons are SOOO much easier to gain control of. And I mean like, instead of Fallout 3 where you have to take the time to go through the diolog, (Which if you still like you can do that in this game.) you get the wheel to do a lot. Which is very helpful when healing your allies. Reason #2:Well, you get to reload the already used up ammunition you find around the world, plus there are so many more things to craft. Reason #3:The weapons, straight off the bat the weapons in this just win me over. Seeing how you can switch between normal rounds, to armor piercing, or even hollow points. Which just add to the fun. Now, I have Fallout New Vegas Ultimate addtion for both PC and PS3 and I am not saying there are not bad things, but those are SOOO over trumphed in gameplay. Well, other than the fact that you really wanna stay clear of the cazadors (Spoiler alert) Those insects are over powered. Crazy, if you get swarmed well, hope you didn't auto save right there. Now, I would ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS! Recommend this game to anyone who just loves the Fallout series, sure it may not be as story commited as the rest of the games are and were, but it's just all around sandboxy fun. Yes I know this review wasn't exactly pro either, but I just don't care. Take it from me, this game is awesome. And if you want value with this game? Go for the Fallout New Vegas Ultimate addtion.
