As an ex-avid Dead by daylight player, I think the core gameplay is fun in theory. But this game needs serious rebalancing and general tuning. your ONE genuine source of potential to outsmart the monster is lockers that you can be heard through unless you hold your breath, upon running out or stopping use of that ability you breathe heavily, which makes the holding part seem more like a detriment. There are also doors and swings, of which I saw maybe two swings and 0 doors throughout my almost hour of play. Forget trying to run or hide without pre-stated map elements, the monster is crazy fast and can kill you silently (from your perspective at least) and instantly, on top of their character based perks like map patrol via screaming tiny wuggys (that you can leave right next to ALL main objectives), or bouncing up entire floors of the map. Not only like other people state the sound is, in fact, useless and you have no perspective on where the monster is, but also the puzzles are significantly more complicated and simultaneously boring than dead by daylight, yet take up almost your entire screen so you genuinely can do nothing but be paranoid since you can't hear either. The UI constantly has confusing perspective, I can't tell if I'm around the corner or across the map from an objective, maybe put meters away on UI elements or use an outline? My final con is the fact that there is a battle pass, even though the game is in this lousy of a state, and the human characters you play look like placeholder models. I do like the aesthetic of this universe of these games, and the puzzles DID keep their progress no matter who came back to finish them, which helped things get done. Other than the movement feeling kinda clunky, the doors and swinging mechanics are great ideas and although I didn't use any doors in the actual game, the ones in the tutorial and the swings were fun to use. Also if the rest of the game was good, I really like the pit. Overall disappointing but I think this has potential for a no man's sky sort of rebirth
