I will preface this with the fact that lately I have been asking myself "Would I reccomend what I am doing to my friends or family?" This question for everything in my life. It has been going very well for me so far. With that being said: I would never recoomend even starting to play or learn this game.

After 7,000 hours across multiple accounts (4,400 hours on this, 2,600 on the other account) this game can only be described as cancer. I came to it for the high skill cap and difficulty after learning it for a bit in Warcraft III The Frozen Throne and watching the International 1. I introduced over a dozen friends to Dota 2. When the first 10 quit after several hundred hours, saying that we are bad and so is this game; I ignored them and kept playing, hoping to get better. The highest MMR I attained was 3,400 and only went down. I never gave up though. So many reddit posts about how to improve, so many great professional games and players to watch, I had to get better with higher MMR eventually.

That will never happen. I have spent a lot of time in this game and at 2.6k MMR i haven't played a single solo ranked game I consider worth playing within the last 6 months. Maybe I was bad, maybe I got unlucky with teammates. Either way I have spent 9.7 months of my life playing this game over the last 5 years. I am glade I played about 12 of the games I participated in. The other 900 I wish I spent doing LITERALLY anything else. Not only did I just delete this game, this game made me quit video games entirely. Not that I played any others anyways. This is a prime example of one of the worst uses of your time you could ever have.

Want to have fun? Try Rocket League, HearthStone, CSGO, LITERALLY ANYTHING BUT THIS CANCER at least you can make a difference for your team in those games. That or your teammates speak your own language so they will understand you when you tell them to kill themselves.

You can watch every game every VOD every tutorial and you will always suck at this game. Even look at your best and favorite professionals: RTZ will always be stuck on the losing team at TI, scientists will always be baffled at EEs ability to ♥♥♥♥ up everytime, IceIceIce will make so many game changing plays that will always result in his team losing. No matter what level you are or aspire to be, this game only has one response for you: "Go kill yourself"

Sure you can say "Salty" and ask "how can you waste so much time being so bad git gud". Then go look in a mirror. Realize that I'm not wrong. SirActionSlacks has a higher MMR then you and he doesn't even use hotkeys for his items. LIKE WHAT THE HONEST HELL IS THIS GAME?

Start 2017 off right and either delete this game or stay far far away from it.
