Terrible game. I would recommend avoiding at all costs. After 7 years, this game is still virtually unplayable. Its an eating and drinking simulator. You have to constantly eat and drink to survive and you always run out and die. If you dont find food within 5 minutes of spawning then you are dead. Especially if you ever tap the sprint button. There are bugs everywhere as well and the gun play is very poor. Visually it looks a lot better and the audio is also excellent but the game itself is absolutely terrible. I bought it the day it came out in december 2013, and I have to say the ArmA 2 DayZ mods are better. You can still have fun but the fun lasts only a short while and it ends with a stupid death.

This game is a very satisfying and well made zombie survival game. All the mechanics are neat and very enjoyable. As the name suggests, there are times in game where a mist engulfs the map, which allows the zombies to walk freely outside while also making it very hard to see. This is a unique feature and sets the game apart from other regular zombie survival games. The base building system is great, and the graphics are also excellent.

The map is reasonable in size, and I believe more areas will be added as the game continues to be updated.

It is quite a difficult game to play so prepare to lose things every now and again but the difficulty just adds to the fun in my opinion. Its clear the developer has played a lot of games in this genre as he/she has got the atmosphere spot on. I will continue to play more of this great game.

Wasn't very convinced by this game from watching videos and seeing screenshots, but when I played it I was pleasantly surprised. The building system is very rewarding and the enemies, whether natural enemies like crocodiles or less natural enemies like crazed savages, are an actual challenge which is good to see. This game will fulfill the adventurous side of you as you explore the deep underground caves or the huge natural monuments. I would recommend this game, and I will also add that playing it with a friend is so much more fun.

There also is a story, but you really have to work it out for yourself if you want to.

You grind for absolutely ages to build very underwhelming things. I didn't find the building system in this game anywhere as near as rewarding as other games.

On the plus side the game looks fantastic with its cartoon style. This game is well made but personally I didn't find it very fun.

This game is legendary, although due to its age and the release of ArmA 3 six years ago, this game is dying quickly.

In a strange way though, when you purchase this game you aren't really buying one game at all, you're buying a dozen. Roleplay mods (Island Life, Cherno Life, Takistan Life, and City Life) and the vast universe of DayZ add so many options for the player to experience. Sadly though, A2 DayZ is the only mod that is still going relatively strong. There are still a lot of domination servers and other vanilla sort of game modes that still get players on as well. Playing around on A2 editor using the huge amount of community made mods is still very fun.

Fun for all the family, especially good if the winner has a supply of chocolate biscuits.
