A friend of mine that was in my college gaming club loved this game. He passed away, recently, and I bought it to try playing a game that had really touched his heart. CJ had over 6k hours invested into the game, since it was released before and after Iceborn's release. I can honestly say, despite the problems I have playing on a laptop, I have enjoyed this game. It's a nice change from other MMOs. You can do most of everything solo, and those who respond to your messages seem quite friendly. I can see why CJ loved Monster Hunter World so much. Players don't judge you for what you can and can't do. You can play at your pace, and the mechanics are fairly simple to understand. There are complicated weapons for players that want a challenge, but there are weapons for people who want easier game play. I can honestly recommend this game to nearly every age group. The entire family could play together, and if you are capable of finding the right settinges, even laptop players are able to play with mid range settings.

They are making the game harder to play, even with their boosters. Then they want you to pay diamonds for extra time to complete the level. Not interested in paying a fortune for a game like this, when I could buy something like say... Metro Exodus, Dying Light 2, Resident Evil 4 Remake, and even Slime Rancher 2. Those games are more worth the money and time than this game.

This is a relaxed game with little jokes that allows you to play, while working on something else.

This game does have a few hiccups in game play, but this is a well thought out and designed game. You'll never run out of things to do, and their are different avenues of play. You can choose to find romance or not. You can participate in the events that are present in the game or not. Everything is totally up to you. I personally bought the DLC for player equipment, which really helped me, at the start of the game. I highly suggest picking that one up, and you get the swim pack for free.

There are a few things that I would've liked added such as a definite means to zoom in and out on your own. It also would've been nice if they had given players a closet for clothing. However, these are just minor wants. They don't effect the game play or the nice story that is present. If you like farming, building, shop management, or exploring, this is a good game to invest into.
