Great aesthetics, the horror goes quite well with the old school graphic. I did find the story to be interesting, which actually made me wish this game was longer. There are some areas I felt needed polish, such as level 4, part of it can be ignored if one knows a certain way of it beforehand. I would love to see if the sequel becomes way more detailed, and perhaps a much more fluent way going through levels than a level select? but to conclude, the game is quite fun and has an amazing world to explore.

Unfortunately, I feel that this DLC was rushed. Especially how it breaks with previous DLC, example being Ethiopia can no longer do their focus relating to Palestine as a reddit user pointed out.

Iraq itself felt very awkward to play with, I myself did the METO path and felt annoyed that I had to basically do a world conquest in order to just achieve dominance over the middle east. Also odd that hashimite federation doesn't annex their puppets, which lowering your puppets autonomy as a minor is annoying to do.

The kurdish branch felt very out of place, I feel that if I want to play as kurdistan, I want to play as an separate tag. This leads to weird stuff as kurdistan having cores over Iraq and possibly messes up with the Turkish tree.

Iran was one I felt was the most worked on. It does provide better entertainment, although it's odd that the Iran party is communist, which it wasn't historically. Also that I feel that the monarchy path was given too much, which PDX needs to learn to tone down monarchist path foci at times, as it makes the other paths weaker and less fun.

Afghan, has more content I feel than Iraq. Which is odd because i feel that should be the other way around. I find that the left monarchist and democratic paths were too connected, which makes it feel a bit clunky.

India, has the worst case of meme paths syndrome. Resurrection of the Empire Company feels completely wrong in a game set during world war two. It has no reason to exist other than memes, it is I admit kinda fun to have little bits of memes but too much makes the game feel no longer a world war two sim, but a sandbox with a world war two paint.

To also bring up, I do not think the Resurrection of the mughal empire is plausible either. It would be much simpler to have the kaiser'i'hind as the Indian prince name, just the generic Indian empire or federation name.

To summarise, the dlc felt rushed, ignores historically for memes and ignores quality of paths that need it. There are however deeper historical issues that it suffers the same way as the German DLC, but however these issues have been made before by more qualified people.

I do hope that the release of this DLC, makes PDX realise, for its future dlc, it needs to meet an universal standard that past dlcs has set and improve upon the mistakes that past dlcs have also made. Especially how the stellaris team goes back to past dlcs, to improve and integrate them to the modern standard of the game.
