My first bit of advice is that you need to mod it. I'll be honest, the base game itself is not good as a VR Port.
With mods though, it is genuinely one of the big reasons I got into VR and got a Quest 2. It's Skyrim, but you genuinely are walking through Whitrun, traveling the roads, caverns, and such.
I at times use it as a genuine escape from the things I deal with in the real world, partially from nostalgia, partially because I get to just shut my brain off, but in general, it's still Skyrim, and you can still get lost in the world.
